Your previous comment was that he's shown no positional bias. I think his bias toward the trenches is a practical bias away from the outside positions. And my thinking is based on a considerable amount of evidence that I think paints a discernible picture of Ballard's team building philosophies. I'm not saying I'm absolutely right about this, you might not find that evidence as compelling as I do. But I think Ballard has shown/told us what he values, and in what order.

I think people just want something exciting from the offseason. There's nothing wrong with that. I get being frustrated by Ballard's approach. My big point is that I think people talk themselves into the idea that 'this is finally the year when Ballard will make a big move,' and then when it doesn't happen, they come crashing down to earth and they're even more frustrated and upset. The Sneed thing is a perfect example. I never say never, because I don't know. But Ballard trading up in the first round probably isn't happening. Houston has had a good offseason. I'm holding off on putting them in the top tier in the AFC. I want to see it first.

Strong hint where he’s planning to go that he normally drops in these. -

Yeah, this place is either going to happy or implode because nobody in here has any idea what Ballard will do or who he will pick.
