I see it's now giving the Colts two 7th rounders...

Yep. The trade for Cam Johnson was originally thought to be this year's 7th round pick, but now is thought to be next year's seventh round pick, so we get an extra 7th round pick. Our other one was from the Ravens. This hasn't been confirmed yet, but a lot of people/draft sites are taking it as real.

My latest attempt:

59
CB E.J. GAINES
MISSOURI

He appears to have all the physical tools and can even make tackles.  His biggest weakness appears to be tackling technique, which I think can be refined.

90
DT KELCY QUARLES
SOUTH CAROLINA

Analysis given in a previous mock

154
S HAKEEM SMITH
LOUISVILLE

I believe I gave the analysis for this pick in another mock as well, but in case I didn't, I think safety depth is very important for us.  He is a reliable tackler and improved his pass defense in the last year.

187
DT RYAN CARRETHERS
ARKANSAS STATE

Analysis given in previous mock

209
G TRAI TURNER
LSU

Very good run blocker, but pass blocking needs work

218
CB AARON COLVIN
OKLAHOMA

Physical and aggressive corner.

UFA
-CB RICARDO ALLEN
PURDUE
-WR CODY HOFFMAN
BYU

Analysis for both given in previous mocks

I wanted to try to get Denicos Allen again because I'm really starting to like him, but he was taken by the 49ers a few picks after I took Colvin

A lot of people as getting Chris Boyd! He is going to be a good solid player in the NFL! Was very good for Vandy until his dismissal from the team before last season.. First time be has ever gotten into any trouble.

Search his in YouTube! Has some good hands, and great size.. Lacks some speed though but is going to be wayyyy overlooked

I did this draft assuming we sign a C in FA, so I went defense heavy. First time I've done it for a while.

59. CB STANLEY JEAN- BAPTISTE - NEBRASKA - 6'3 220lbs

Huge corner, experience playing man to man with playmaking ability, good against the run. Experience playing Safety in college so can cover in case of injury.

90. DE MARCUS SMITH - LOUISVILLE - 6'3 250-255lbs

Pass rusher on the outside maybe an understudy for Mathis whilst Walden and Werner hold down the strong side. Listed at 6'3 250-255lbs

154. RB DE’ANTHONY THOMAS - OREGON - 5'10 175-180lbs

Only offensive player in my draft. Best player available. Gives us a Darren Sproles-like weapon out of the backfield. Could help plug a hole as the teams scat back if we don't resign DB (which is quite likely IMO). Also a great returner.

187. DT JAY BROMLEY - SYRACUSE - 6'3 300-310lbs

Good value fortification for the DL. Good size. Understudy for Cory Redding. Could rotate in on heavy packages.

209. CB AARON COLVIN - OKLAHOMA - 6'0 192lbs

Former first round prospect until he tore his ACL in a Senior Bowl practice. May have to sit a year, but a good prospect to take a flier on in the 7th. Low risk/high reward.

218. ILB PRESTON BROWN - LOUISVILLE - 6'2 260lbs

Heavy run stuffer to improve depth inside.

59

DE CHRIS SMITH

ARKANSAS

Would be a perfect fit at OLB or could bulk up into a DE in the 3-4

90

WR JARED ABBREDERIS

WISCONSIN

The next Austin Collie. Minus the injuries

154

DT DEANDRE COLEMAN

CALIFORNIA

This guy is a run stopper. Consistently dominated Travis Swanson on Senior Day and had a great showing.  Could be the answer at the nose

187

CB CHRIS DAVIS

AUBURN

Not only would he be a solid nickel back his first year, he can easily take over the return duties for us. See Alabama-Auburn (2013)

209

JON HALAPIO

FLORIDA

Solid guard that has shown he can be a solid contributor to an offensive line. Played through a torn pectoral at UF, that is toughness

218

RB DARRIN REEVES

UAB

He's a little scatback that could fill the void at #3 on the depth chart. Has good speed for a back

From first-pick. I'd be surprised (and pumped) if some of these guys dropped this low.

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 27: David Yankey, OG, Stanford (A)
Round 3 Pick 26: Yawin Smallwood, ILB, Connecticut (A)
Round 5 Pick 26: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida (A)
Round 6 Pick 27: Deandre Coleman, DT, California (B+)
Round 7 Pick 16: Cody Hoffman, WR, Brigham Young (A)

59

DT DAQUAN JONES
PENN STATE

90
S JIMMIE WARD
NORTHERN ILLINOIS
154
ILB ANDREW JACKSON
WESTERN KENTUCKY
187
CB AARON COLVIN
OKLAHOMA
209
WR CODY HOFFMAN
BYU
218
CB BENE BENWIKERE
SAN JOSE STATE

I figured that a bunch of teams would have the same idea that because of the ACL tear, they can get Colvin in the 7th. So I took him in the 6th. And I think Andrew Jackson is a sleeper pick at ILB. I watched some tape against Alabama in 2012 and he may have had like 8 solo tackles and 2 tackles for loss. And that OL was no joke.

CB BRADLEY ROBY

OHIO STATE

90

DE MICHAEL SAM

MISSOURI

154

DT DEANDRE COLEMAN

CALIFORNIA

187

C RUSSELL BODINE

NORTH CAROLINA

209

G MICHAEL SCHOFIELD

MICHIGAN

218

RB GEORGE ATKINSON III

NOTRE DAME

Here was my thinking.  Roby joins Davis, Butler, and Gordy as our corners.  This will give us some freedom with Toler.  I don't like the idea of the media circus that is going to accompany Sam but I dont feel it would be a major distraction with our locker room.  I see him as a pure rush linebacker.  It would be nice to let learn from one of the best.  Coleman would be a very good addition to our DE rotation.  I could see him taking over Redding after next season.  Bodine could push Holmes for the starting job (assuming Satale is cut) or at least be a very good back up.  Schofield provides depth at guard.  Atkinson III immediately takes over return duties.

Latest attempt:

59
S ED REYNOLDS
STANFORD

Big (6'2") safety who is very smart and instinctive.  Drafting him could save us the money some people would want us to use on Byrd.

90
C WESTON RICHBURG
COLORADO STATE

Rated by some as the 2nd best C in the draft.  Another intelligent player.  Signing him could give us a good option at C and would save us the money of going after Alex Mack.

154
CB VICTOR HAMPTON
SOUTH CAROLINA

Scouting reports say he is very physical and isn't afraid to tackle (which I love to see).  He has great physical tools, but his play needs a little refining as he tends to be a little grabby with WRs and that could translate to holding and PI penalties.

187
DT RYAN CARRETHERS
ARKANSAS STATE

Analysis given in previous mocks

209
G BRANDON LINDER
MIAMI

A big guard who should be able to contribute as a backup to Thornton or Thomas

218
CB AARON COLVIN
OKLAHOMA

Another physical corner who is very aggressive (in good and bad ways).  He can tackle, but can get beat by play actions.  He's physical with receivers, but could get into PI and holding trouble.

RB DE’ANTHONY THOMAS
OREGON
187
ILB PRESTON BROWN
LOUISVILLE
209
WR CODY HOFFMAN
BYU
218
P KIRBY VAN DER KAMP
IOWA STATE

Depending on who is more of a scheme fit, you could substitute the first pick with Keith McGill. But Preston Brown is a sleeper. Good speed and  makes a lot of tackles. DAT can be the new scat back and PR, possibly KR too. Van Der Kamp is for the future, since we don't know what's going on with Mcafee.

I like visiting on Tuesday's because they say they updated their rankings on Tuesdays.....

OK....

So,  today I got a set of results that are ridiculously good....

The chances of most of this happening are pretty close to zero...   maybe one or two of the picks...   but certainly not all of them...  I think we all stand a better chance of winning the Power Ball Lottery....    check this out....

Starting quality ILB who can cover next to Freeman.

90

DT EGO FERGUSON

DE to replace Redding long term and swap snaps with RJF straight away.

DE

DE JOSH MAURO

STANFORD

Doubled up on DE's because run stopping is a big problem and two big bodies to add to the roster.

187

S VINNIE SUNSERI

ALABAMA

Depth safety, possible starter long term.

209

ILB PRESTON BROWN

LOUISVILLE

Run stopping ILB to replace Connor in the ILB depth. Freeman, Jones, McNary and Brown will be young, cheap and quality.

218

CB AARON COLVIN

OKLAHOMA

Injured CB who can play man coverage, can't see him slipping this far but took him because he was there.

Would be really excited by this draft if we could actually land it. Still would need to address starters at C, CB and competition at G, NT in free agency.

Great cover skills def a good value in rd5 and a great rd to pair with Landry to keep him in the box
