Welcome back, Colts Nation!  :) Our Colts move on from their 44-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills last week as they are in the New Jersey Meadowlands to play the New York Giants in their first preseason road game at Met Life Stadium on FOX Sports.  Colts are also in the lone preseason game for the second consecutive Sunday, and also hope to go back to Met Life Stadium to play in Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2, 2014.

Colts concluded their training camp last Friday morning at Anderson University. Tonight's matchup feature two marquee quarterbacks, our Colts Andrew Luck opposite the N.Y. Giants Eli Manning. Colts will play the more intriging matchup later during  Week 7 of the regular season as Peyton Manning returns with the Denver Broncos in the battle of the new and old Colts QB regimes on Sunday Night, October 20.  Emphasis by the Colts coaching staff, among other team adjustments tonight, is to have the offensive line protect Luck.

NFL On FOX's primary broadcast team of  Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, along with sideline reporter Pam Oliver, are announcing the nationally-televised game on FOX Sports, including WXIN FOX 59 in Indianapolis, and simulcast around the world to our US military personnel on the Armed Forces Broadcast Network, live on HD. Tonight's Colts/N.Y.Giants game will also be replayed later on The NFL Network at least twice in the coming week, early Tuesday morning, at 3:00AM,  and on the following Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM, on August 23, both times Eastern Standasrd Time, and also on HD.

Bob Lamey, our 'Voice Of The Colts,' and former NFL QB  and Wisconsin Badger Jim Sorgi, are announcing both the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, along with sideline reporter Kevin Lee, simulcast on flagship stations WFNI ESPN SportsRadio 1070AM, and WHLK Country 97.1FM, and the Colts/Vectren Radio Network. Sorgi is also  believed to be the only NFL player to backup, and play with both Peyton and Eli Manning, while both with the Colts and N.Y. Giants.

Clear/Partly Cloudy skies, and few showers at 74 degrees is forecast for tonight's 7:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff at Met Life Stadium, along with 53% precipitation, 30% humidity, and very mild eastern winds at 5 miles per hour.

Colts are wearing the matching white jerseys and pants on the field tonight,  while the host N.Y. Giants are wearing their traditional  home blue jerseys, and gray pants.

No injuries to both the Colts and N.Y. Giants, as all the players in both teams, especially the drafted college players, signed veterans, and free agents, all audition to earn themselves into the 53-man regular season roster and practice squads. Win your first preseason game for yourselves, and for Head Coach Chuck Pagano, stay 'Colts Strong,' and GO COLTS!!!!!   :D  :blueshoe:  :pass:  :shoe:  :helmet:  :coltshelmet:  :coltslogo:  :coltshorse:  :coltsfb:  :colts:  :1colts:  :coltslogo:

I'm eager to see how the three phases will improve from last week...to be honest, I've all but abandoned hope for special teams.  Last year, we looked like we were trending upward then last week it was the same ol' stuff.  I know it was preseason week 1, but let's keep it real...our special teams have been pretty poor (outside of kicking/punting) as long as I can remember.  I think the offensive line was a little bit better with run blocking, but I wanna see how Holmes/Thornton can help us out there.  I liked out free agent additions on defense...can't wait for all the injury holdouts to be able to play.  Landry, Angerer, Bradshaw & Co.  will right the ship IMO.  Can't wait to clock out this evening and get home for the kickoff!  GO COLTS!!!!

    • Alot of people  sleeping  of troy franklin.  He is expected  to go in the second
    • I know a lot was said, but I really don’t like when people bring up JJ because he was such a unique case.  He fell for multiple reasons.  Analysts thought he was a product of the system, he shined because of chase, they thought he was just a slot guy.  JJ was such a curious case because he had the production to prove it but I think teams who picked other WRs ahead of him got wrapped up in the detractors.     TBH, the only player I can see in a similar predicament at WR is Adonai Mitchell, other than that, I think what you see is what you get.  Of course, there will be sleepers In every draft, but outside of Adonai, I don’t think there’s a “JJ” at WR In this draft.  Maybe Troy Franklin too.
    • This presser has reinforced how I feel about this draft and what we might do.  This is one of the most “it can go any way” drafts I’ve been apart of as a colts fan.  Based on our needs, the strengths of this draft, and where we pick, there are numerous ways this thing can go.  Some takeaways I got from this presser:   - Getting AR a weapon:  I think after this presser, we are definitely getting an AR another weapon.  I’m not sure if it’s going to be with the first or second pick.  Bowers to the colts doesn’t seem likely to me now.  Ballard really likes our tight end group and I can’t see him investing a high pick into the tight end room given what we have.  But either way, either the first or second pick will be a weapon.   - Anything is possible:  we may trade up, stay put, or even trade back.  It all depends on how this draft goes, who they have on their board, and where they have them rated.  I can see us trading up if one or two of the top 3 WRs get to pick 9.  I can see staying put if our trade up options are gone but someone looks to be falling to us.  I can also see us trading back if we have first round grades on certain players who are left and can be chosen later in the first round.  I can see all of these things happening and it really all depends on how things play out.  Personally, I’d hope we trade up if one of the top 3 WRs get close enough and doesn’t cost us too much.  But either way, we’re in a unique position and this can go a lot of ways.
    • Noway  Ballard  does that trade  but if he did he trade next years first for more seconds
    • I doubt  he moves up for any of those guys unless they fall to around 9-12. Only way I see us getting  Harrison  is through  free agency  in a few years if he chooses  to leave the team that drafts him.
