Yeah it's like we go to their board and post Colts stuff all over.........oh wait.......

If it didn't say Colts Forum across the top of this page, I would swear I was on a Pats forum just from the sheer number of Pats threads and how often they are brought up on just about every Colts or Broncos related thread...

Naw that's mostly hyperbole. The Pats threads and references are more visible to you because of your affiliation with the teams.

I would say Pats threads compose like 5-10% of all threads, and you started a quarter of them lol.

And referencing a rival team frequently isn't really obsessing, it's just topical in many instances.

Love the Colts

Loved Manning as a Colt

Love the Colts

I'll watch the Broncos play as long as there is no conflict with the Colts game, I hope they play each other in week 8 or 9 like we used the play the Pats.

FYI This is only the second year since 1971 the Colts have not played the Pats.

You may be right. I may be looking through Pats colored glasses but there seem to be more threads on them than any other team other than the Colts.

I think the amount of times the Patriots are mentioned on Colts threads is obsessive. If you visit any Pat forums you will not see any other team mentioned as much as the Pats are here but I get it, they have sort have been a nemesis to the Colts over the years. And even though they don't play in the regular season this year, I am betting they will somehow meet in the playoffs.

BTW, playing Manning with the Broncos does not have the same luster as when we played him when he was a Colt. I hate that silly Bronco on his helmet and those awful colors but that is just me. Colts have a classic uniform that just seemed to suit him better.

Your right, and love you guys or hate you guy, you were our measuring stick. If you guys bounced us from the playoffs, it was a bad year, because you were our rival. So IMO, it's natural that your talked about frequently. Though like you say those comparisons are getting less and less meaningful because the rivalry is starting to simmer, which Peyton on another team.

Admittedly though, some people on here just hate you guys haha. But I'm sure your could find posters of that sentiment on any board. Not even specifically Pats haters, just really passionate fans. For better or worse.

Jules, I'm just like you; I stand my ground & I defend my position vehemently no holes barred. But, when I make a mistake or step over the line. I admit it. Thanks for the laugh though. You Rock!!!

I don't back down easily & 1 rebuttal post is not going send me running for the hills anytime soon or ever for that matter. I respect differences of opinion & I always try to be respectful, but I know how to debate & use language to it's full capacity & authority. I didn't just fall off a turnip truck; more like a hostess Ho-Hos delivery truck actually. HA! HA!

Do you want me to mumble, wear a hooded sweatshirt, & tell you nothing useful to a reporter just like Bill Belichick? I can do that you know. SW1 loves to accommodate his friends you know.

I just took off my hoodie SW!!  I promise I will talk at the press conference....but only if Jules turns off those gosh awful disco lights :):spit:

Gettysburg is long...but so attentive to detail....I love the Civil War history....not the war itself....

Yeah, I like the Vietnam stuff. The soldiers stories', tales, all that, but of course the war itself...not a big fan of.  American history was actually one of my best subjects. You can never learn enough about it.

Oh, you want a L-O-N-G movie...Gandhi with actor Ben Kingsley or Dr. Zhivago starring Alec Guinness are so slow, but historically accurate though. I'd listen to your football wisdom any day of the week Brent with or without a hoodie my friend.  haha

Although hands down the slowest film I have ever seen is Martin Scorsese's 1993 film "The Age Of Innocence." I think I aged 5 years watching that film. A great torture device actually. It made "Gone With The Wind" feel like a short film.  ;)

Your Bob Knight impression is the best Brent! How far can you throw a metal folding chair BTW?  :spit: I'm sarcastic as Hades, but you need to hang out with me for a whole weekend to get the full effect of my humor.

Not to detail the topic, but I just finished Lincoln.. fantastic take on Lincoln and the civil war/slavery!

I haven't seen it yet, but I have read historian & award winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin's book "Team Of Rivals"A great book that director Steven Speilberg was influenced by in filming Lincoln.

Well said Brother! Well said.  American Indian History is fascinating. Geronimo was an incredible Apache leader. And "Manifest Destiny" & the Wild West is a story of amazing courage, tenacity, & a resiliency to thrive & flourish despite the elements & personal setbacks.

Exactly Jay! 1 generations rebel is another generation's hero. Those men you mentioned were brilliant, resourceful, & very protective of their people, language, culture, & way of life. I have profound respect for all of them. My 1st college roommate Al was an Oneida Indian descendant from Green Bay who grew up on the reservation, Res for short. He's now a police officer on the res & we talk a lot to this day.

Al always jokes "Yup, the white man & the federal government took advantage of us with smallpox and treaties not negotiated "in good faith" in the 19th Century, but we got even with both entities in the 20th Century with sovereign nation status & financially lucrative casinos. Al is just as sarcastic in his humor as me.   :yahoo:

I love American Indian history as well. I'm actually related to Pocahontas and Chief Powhatan, so that particular part of history has always caught my attention and I used to watch those westerns all the time with my grandma when I was younger haha

Seriously?!! Oh my god no! I know you love your grandma, but this is catastrophic brother. Do you need reinforcements or moral support? I'm available... :lol:lmao This is a HUGE problem...Good luck pal. Wow!

A Dallas fan...sigh...I don't know whether to cry or smash something...Houston is so close to a Championship & Dallas is so far away...Although Rod Marinelli & Monte Kiffin are running that defense now...There will be improvement, but Dallas will still miss the Playoffs like always...Falling short that's what the Cowboys excel at...

Yeah, I've got a relative that cheers for the Titans just to irritate me & tick me off. He knows it gets under my skin, but he keeps "poking the bear." If he gets mauled or taken out the woodshed 1 of these days, it will be for his own good. :funny:

Exactly! A good butt whoopin' makes these  :stir:  realize that there consequences to fanning the flames. If you play with fire, you might get "hurt" eventually. Don't say that QuizBoy & I didn't warn ya...

I'm a good natured person & so are you, but even we have our limits...

I have my moments QuizBoy, but thanks. Gotta love the "Man In Black." Yeah, it tough sometimes dealing with family members that rub you the wrong way. We still love 'em. We just wish that they would finally see the light. Sadly, many of them never do. Your Grandma sounds like a great lady, but we need to cure her of this Dallas fixation/afflication with a Jerry Jones exorcism...Just Kidding QuizBoy!!!

Dallas are the poster child franchise for overhyped, underachievers though...Sigh...

Houston is just so much better like going from a Model T Ford to a Porsche or Ferrari. No contest IMO.
