Week 3 -- Colts vs Steelers

What the Colts Need To Do To Win

Well, the most important to do is to block them. They have James Harrison, Lamar Woodley, Aaron Smith, Brett Keisel, and many other all-pros that are great pass rushers, and we need to stop them so Kerry can have times to make his reads and throws. Now Kerry Collins must have a good game. Even if he gets pressured, he must be able to make those quick throws. This means, don't go for the long bomb, but the simple 4 yard pass, that could end up being a 10 yard catch. Limit the risky plays, because they'll take advantage of it, especially with Troy Polamalu in the secondary. We have to stop the pass and the run (obviously), but more importantly the pass. The Steelers have a balanced offense, but if you take away the passing game, you can really hurt them, and our run defense has been pretty good lately. It's going to be tough against the Steelers defense to move the ball, so having good field position is key, which all starts with the returners... we need a good game from them.

What The Steelers Need to Do To Win

All they have to do on defense is constantly pressure Kerry Collins. The running game has gotten pretty good, but they tend to pass the ball more than the run. You can beat their mediocre offensive line on the right, or on the inside left, but mostly the right side, which is where Lamar Woodley plays. James Harrison should pressure Kerry Collins, but he has a pretty good Castonzo in his way. On offense, they need to effectively mix up the pass and the run, and use the play action well. Go for Hines Ward a lot, because their corner covering him, Jacob Lacey, is quite weak and you should beat him 4 times out of 5. Go for short passes, and just drive down the field. It shouldn't be too hard.

Breakout Performers/ Key Matchup

A breakout performer for the Colts has to be Kerry Collins, plain and simple. He needs to make quick throws that will effectively move the ball down the field. He's the most important player on our team right now.

For the Steelers, it's Rashard Mendenhall. He's had a rough start to the year, and he needs to rebound. He needs to have a good game for this team to put up big points.

The Breakout Performers the Offensive Tackles vs the Rush. If the O-line can beat guys like Harrison and Woodley, I truly believe that they can possibly win this game. If they can't, well, it's finished.

What I Think Will Happen

Well, I'll start off by saying that the Colts will lose. Why? Because are opponents are too good, and we don't have our star quarterback. I think that Lamar Woodley will constantly beat Jeff Linkenbach, and will get 2 sacks. They will then bench Link and put in Ben Ijalana. I think that Ben will do well. Anthony Castonzo will get beat occasionally by James Harrison, and Harrison will get a sack, but generally Anthony will do well. The defense will play well in the first half, but will let the Steelers score 14 points in the 2nd half. They will be beat by Roethlisberger, who will throw for 304 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Mendenhall will rush for 107 yards with 1touchdown. Kerry Collins will excell early, but die late in the 2nd quarter and never look back. I think he throws for 176 yards and 2 interceptions. Joe Addai and Delone Carter have pretty good games, as they will run for a total of 101 yards against this tough Steelers D. Austin Collie will be the best receiver with 5 catches for 64 yards. Adam Vinatieri will put up the only points of the game, a 46 yard field goal (the first points of the game), and a 41 yard field goal. In the end, the Colts lose bad.

I think i do.. It hit them during the Giants game... Have all 53 guys fake injuries during the coin flip... Im not sure what the league could do about it... I mean, its worth a try..
