Link is a good run-blocker, I'll give him that. But in the NFL, you can't be good at just one thing and then SUCK at another and get away with it (unless you're Devin Hester).

Well I agree with you that that's the way it should be...but tell that to Freeney, Mathis and Brackett who excel in pass defense but are more often than not liabilities in run defense. And let's not forget about Jerry Hughes who is considered by many to be a clone of Mathis. IMO this has been one of the biggest problems for our defense. Not only do we have these 2 situational pass rushers and a nickel-LB but we've invested starter type money in them. Granted, prior to this year they were full starters and it was only this year that Freeney and Mathis' roles were somewhat reduced.
