Yes, kind of - both teams receive trophies for winning their conference (and rings, as pointed out above).

Just done a little research: They're called the Lamar Hunt AFC Championship Trophy, and the George Halas NFC Championship Trophy. They were redesigned in 2010-11 to look more modern, see below:

No.   Nobody would want to stand on a podium and receive such a trophy after losing a SB, anyway.

No...although some teams do choose to hang runner-up or 'AFC Finalist' banners in their stadium ;)

In World cup Rugby & Soccer losers of the semi's play each other to see who gets 3rd & 4th place...

That is sort of a bittersweet test/match...

 

Thatd be weird if AFC & NFC championship game losers played in a runner's up bowl...

Thank God they redesigned those Conference Championship trophies. Those old ones were horrendous.
