There.  I just saved us four useless threads!

Would have been better if it was posted in the right section. :D Those threads are in the Draft/FA section.

How about we make a thread where we post all people we want to sign?

There isn't enough band width in the world for that

You know what's more annoying than people creating threads about getting every free agent on the market? Repeated criticism, and "ugghhh another one of these threads" comments. Lets all be civil here. It's the off-season there is nothing going on.

Yeah, it's completely ridiculous. If you don't want to see threads on free agents, stop following the Draft and Free Agency Forum. Or better yet, DON'T CLICK ON A TOPIC IF YOU ARE JUST GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. I appreciate these threads. Not much else going on, and if we listened to the people who shoot down every thread we wouldn't post anything.

To be honest, I haven't heard of any of the guys except Vanden Bosch.

I heard that Flacco is a possible free agent. Maybe Luck can be our wildcat QB .

If the player makes sense (even as a long shot) and the poster has valid reasoning than I agree ... but, the threads about players who 99% of everyone here knows is never going to happen and basically amounts to "we should get so and so, because I recognize his name" are pretty useless.

Alot of threads for WRs, which leaves me really confused...did we not watch the same season this year? WRs were a SURPRISE strength for us this year, yeah andrew luck didnt have the prettiest stats (they were pretty good tbh, 28 total tds to 18 picks, 7 4th quarter comebacks, diff story) but he developed a nice deep ball with the WRs and it helped the young ones really grow, we got fricken TY hilton. Honestly if grigson doesnt wanna spend money on WR, i think he resigns collie to one year, and drafts a WR to develop possibly, even tho what ive seen from brazill is impressive, makes the tough catches.

First things first, we need to address the oline, andrew luck probably had more hits, sacks, hurryups than like a whole division's QBs put together lol.  We should probably find good potential YOUNG (stop asking for old players, what kind of logic is that when we are spanking fresh team with our "older" veterans set in stone as leaders, wayne, mathis, and redding.  What we also need is a STUD corner to play opposite of Davis, who is gonna be great this year. An upgrade at safety too (only exception id be down for ed reed).

Lets just get Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, Johnathan Ogden, Kevin Mawai, Ty Law as well as bring Joe Montana back out of retirement to back up Luck while were at it!  :yahoo:   O.o

With your cap space you could probably get all of them.

At the very least we'd be accused of piping in noise again.

Let's put a full page ad in USA Today saying we are going to win the Super Bowl next year, then mention how much money we have to spend and invite all FA's who are interested in winning to apply.

He was actually tried at FS. That means it must be done now. Way to break it.

Just a thought maybe we could add a section to speculate on free agent pick ups?  We have something like that for the draft.  I can understand everyone doesn't want to read a page full of talking about picking up players but by the same token I can understand people want to talk about free agent pick ups.  This is also a common problem that happens every year not just this year because we have money.  So maybe it would be helpful for everyone to just add a section to talk about up coming free agents where people can speculate about guys who are free and those who want to avoid those threads can.

http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/ To all of them!!!!!

If it's NOT an elite o-linemen then my answer will always be http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/ !!!!!

After the o-line weakness has been addressed with elite players and there is mula left over then OK, but remember Colts need to not spend everything because sometime during the course of the year might have to do an emergency pick up, so a little cap room is needed like around maybe 5-7 million...

I don't want the Colts to be then new old Redskins...

Go Colts!!!!!

In Grigson I trust!!!!!

    • The most important factor that distinguishes teams in the playoffs is not just an elite QB or elite D, it is an elite coach, IMO. An elite coach with an elite QB or an elite D can do more damage than just the elite QB or elite D themselves, IMO.   Coaching decisions are so critical with field positioning and using the right personnel and preparation (whether it is for crowd noise, prepared for plays that a team may have run just 4 or 5 times the entire year, for throwing 50 times vs running 50 times, or for going up tempo or slowing down tempo and shrinking the game and possessions, calling a gutsy onside kick, preparing for Hail Mary, even taking a safety for field position etc.)
    • Just wish he would actually read what everyone is posting instead of reading what he wants to see and making outlandish statements. Lol
    • Tough call.   An elite QB can win you allot of regular season games and get you to the playoffs nearly every year.   That gives you a shot and if your "D" can play well in the playoffs, a Superbowl may be in the cards.     An elite "D" can also get you to the playoffs, but not as easily.   Low scoring games can go either way many times.  However, if you make the playoffs, there is a good shot at advancing.   That is assuming that instead of an elite QB, you have a decent one.   Osweiller doesn't make that list.   It's a tough question if you factor in extremes.     Mid 2000's:  Peyton Manning and Indy's defense or Flacco and Baltimore's defense?   Maybe Peyton and Baltimore's defense.   What would Flacco have done with Indy's defense?
    • Alshon Jeffrey would be a good pick up if we weren't already loaded at WR between Hilton, Moncrief, Rogers and dorsett. I see us maybe trying out a couple undrafted guys in training camp though. Couldn't hurt. We wont be seeing Jeffrey in a colts uniform though.
