I'm not an insider.. Too bad, i would like to see what he thinks

Sorry about that forgot I was to be honest....his top 10 are Flacco, Steven Jackson, Wes welker, Mike Wallace, Martellus Bennett,Jared Cook, Greg Jones, Adam Levitre, Ryan Clady and Sebastian Vollmer.

Maybe its just me but I'll trust Polian on skill postition players but when it comes to O-line he doesnt exactly have a great track record I'm kind of leery on his analysis

Yeah I would be interested on what he says about skill guys, but beyond that I don't really care what he has to say. O-line and defense were not exactly his forte.

That's actually not his top-10....   those are his top offensive players.   He's got a top defensive players as well.

Out of those guys I would like....

Spencer - would be a great fit to replace Freeney

Kruger - also good to replace Freeney, but is seeking way too much money IMO.

Grimes

Williams - I like him more than Grimes because of his size and physicality.

Honestly, I was somewhat embarrassed about his list....

Steven Jackson and Dwight Freeney on his "A" list of FA's.    Really?    I mean, come on.

I'm not saying they're unworthy of offers,  but top offers as his "A" list says they'll get?     No.

He also didn't have Vazquez, the San Diego guard on any list,  A, B or C.    I hope it's an oversight.

These aren't my only objections,  but just a small sample of what I think is a poorly thought through list....

Just my two cents....   (and perhaps not worth that much!)

Well Polian didn't have Vasquez on his list because he's absolutely terrible at judging O-line talent. Like I said earlier, if its not a skill position, Polian doesn't have much credibility IMO.

Freeney will get big money from a team running a 4-3

Freeney will get big money from a team running a 4-3

Not sure why.....

He hasn't performed like a big money player for several years....   and he's well past 30...     bad combination for someone seeking big money.

Maybe he'll get it,  but not from a team where I'm the GM.

The four years before moving to a 3-4 he had 42 sacks and 12 forced fumbles. He is 33, not "well past 30".

And what team do you GM?

If your saying you no way Jose , then I'm agreeing with you disagreeing. I guess the 1st thing to do would be to qualify what is considered "big money." I would say 20-21 mill for three years with around 10-11 guaranteed would qualify . I think he get's something like 2 years at 9 mill.... around 4 guaranted.  Plus maybe an mill reachable in incentives.

What Freeney did this year was troublesome.   It wasn't just that he was a bad fit in the system.   He also had trouble staying healthy.     And In football terms, 33 is well past 30.  Especially for a lineman.   About the only position it's not, is quarterback, and even then....   When you're past 30,  you can grow old very, very fast.

The expression "not any team where I'm the GM" is just that....   an expression.   It means in my opinion.   That's all.   Nothing more.    Sorry for the confusion....

That is especially true when your game is predicated on speed. The first thing to go for a player that depends on it the most for their success.

Why do I care about Polian's views on free agency?? He barely EVER dabbled in it.

When he first arrived , he was a big player. Then he started handing out record contracts for all the players he wanted to keep. Not that I'm blamimg him... you over pay to keep your best players just as you do when signing the high priority free agents. Just makig the point that he more than dabbled when he first came over from Carolina.

I agree with Cary williams he has a grit to him he fights for position on every play he is very vocal and passionate about winning !! I would be fine with grimes as well he is super good just comming of an injury scares me

Problem is he likes to fight referees as well.. He has suspension written all over him
