Playing Saturday Jan. 12 a big edge

5 posts in this topic

Denver's 1st playoff game is Saturday, Jan. 12 which will provide them with a big edge.

If the opponent is Baltimore or Indy..those teams will have 5 days (really 4 practice days) to get ready while Denver will have 12...

..the winner Jan. 12 also gets seven full days off before the AFC championship game..

Jan. 13 winners only get 6....

..what was that again about not wanting the bye week and the No.1 seed????

Bye weeks never did us much good. =/

Bye weeks help everybody.....especially older teams....

Bye weeks during the season are gold.......

....If Cincy beats Houston Saturday (as I expect they will)..

.Manning and the boys will know who they are facing Saturday night..

    • We just disagree and I'm completely mind boggled there's so much interest for taking a rb at #15. It's like I'm in the twilight zone.
    •   Riight now he's being projected as an early to mid 2nd round prospect.
    •   Fumbling is an easy fix and he got in trouble as a teen, who hasn't. Williams off the field issues are well documented and actually he can pass block. Go watch tape   As for taco and Barnett, I've seen them mocked to the jets and saints respectively a number of times and that's before the combine and pro day when their stock will rise
    • I actually like Tyus Bowser quite a bit!
    • Doesn't matter if he's "never had to stand up". He would fit he is a beast.  I'm not the biggest Takk fan, but he is NOT a reach and you'll agree after the combine. You don't know if the Saints will take Barnett. Williams is impressive to everyone else. And I'm sure Taco will be there at #15 also, have not heard of him going in the top 10 yet. And even if we did get a DL through free agency, we are building through the draft. Getting a new #1 corner is very much needed also. All of those players/positions I named are better value AND a better need.    Also so funny how you only notice Tims flaws, when Cook has been in trouble more than he has. And also can't block and fumbles a lot.    We're not drafting a RB in the 1st round.
