I just looked it up for you, according to Merriam-Webster:
A fan is an enthusiastic devotee as of a sport, usually as a spectator.
We all know it can be terribly difficult at times like this but as this blog is called Colts Fan Forum let us remain as much a fan as possible this afternoon even if our team struggles. Go Colts!
Cause I'm a fan thus I'm a believer and I'll cheer for any good plays our team makes and I'll be mad for all missed tackles. I will be happy for any more Colts win this season and will be devestated if they lose. It's the life of a fan and I can only feel sorry for those who watch the games without hope.
Oh god. That is literally the worst excuse ever. Trying to compare one teams situation to a similar one in the past. Not every team is the same and trying to use what another team with completely different players, coaches, opponents, and front office people is a weak argument and is a double edged sword just like Irsays argument. There are actually more 2-4 teams that missed the playoffs then there are that made some miraculous turnaround. Why pick the Giants and ignore all the 2-4 teams that don't support your belief?
I was the same in 2011. I knew that loss to Jacksonville meant the of Manning in Indy and deep down I think everyone in the stadium did because they were loud from memory. As for this year, let's wait until after the game today!
