My whole thing is, if we win great. I'm not rooting to lose particularly. But if the rest of the games go like they usually do, either starting very slow or letting teams back in it, not looking prepared, and having to rely on Andrew Luck heroics, then I'm sorry but I think the wins are hollow and only serve to save Pagano and Grigson's job.
I know it probably doesn't sound great to the fans who just wanna win, but I'm not gonna act like watching us come down from double digit leads constantly isn't frustrating. That's not how you wanna win week in and week out, which is how it's been for most of Pagano's tenure.
It seems your criticism is all your going to get. If Luck deserved criticism from the media he would get it.
I am sorry you cant see the big picture and understand the game of NFL football and the role a QB plays.
You're right... Luck did have a chance to win on a late game drive of every game...and he did 3 times (including DET, except the D couldn't hold). He's 3-3 in such scenarios, with 2 of the losses coming against HOU and DEN, two very good Defenses.
Luck is good. Like really good. But no QB is gonna win on EVERY one of those late game situations. Especially when the Defense is as poor as INDY's
I completely disagree with this. Luck was awesome his rookie year. Not a single doubt about that. But so was RG3. They put up near identical #s, with RG3 having much less TOs, and also making the playoffs in a harder division. Combine that with RGs "highlights" it's a no brainer he won RoY....that being said Luck was always going to be the better QB, and I imagine everyone was still taking him as the franchise QB over rg3, even that year, but RG deserved that award.
