We have a one trick pony now that makes too much already. Freeney.

This is all moot anyways since we've already filled our 53 spot roster.

Our roster is pretty fluid. I'll let the accountants worry about who makes whatever. But if someone said we could have another Freeney on our team, I'd be overjoyed.

That's surprising, a non playoff team absorbing an additional 1.64 million (his salary #, maybe cap is more near two mil) hit for 5 weeks work. Maybe trying to get a head up on signing him for next and future years?
“There’s no question he’s (Luck) a complete football player and one of the top quarterbacks in this league already. He has a great career in front of him but I think he’s already established himself as a very poised and talented player that can do a lot of things to beat you and he manages his team well and plays good situational football.” -New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick

He's under contract next year.

I read it is not guaranteed, he can get cut... no aches or pains or future cap hits for Jags. I'll have to double check, though...

EDIT:
Indeed it is not-

Babin you got what you deserved. Welcome to the most irrevelant team in the world :)
"You can put in whatever piece you want with 18, 18 will make it work; all he says is just find your way open, I'll get the ball there. And that's where the Reggie Wayne's, the Dallas Clark's, the Marvin Harrison's; that's how dominant he is. If you take him out of the game, no disrespect to nobody else on the Colts, but you make them a very below-average ball club." -- Ray Lewis on Peyton Manning

It's not guaranteed; the guaranteed money has already been paid out, as far as I understand. But he's still under contract.

We've already played them twice this season, so I'm not too worried. And it's possible he doesn't make it to camp with them next season.

LOL, what's the chance he says he won't show up to the 2-9 Jags This Year? LOL

I heard that six teams put claims in for him. Has it been reported who they were?

Saw "The Lion King" last night on stage. Even though I knew what to kind of expect, the show was still amazing, and the intro is worth the price of admission alone!
