Kyle Arrington-Corner

Justin Bannan-DE-But I think only in a 4-3

William Beatty-RT

Yeremiah Bell-Known Safety yet not talked about on these boards (Maybe because of his age? 34)

Ron Brace 3-4 Nose Tackle

I'd only consider Ron Brace and William Beatty out of that bunch (If were only talking about under the radar guys I'd look at) I have a few other higher profile guys I'd look at

Oh Jesus..... this DRC talk has to stop. Dude is an average (could make a case for below-average) CB. His marketable name is what gets people. I'd go for a guy like Keenan Lewis from Pittsburgh.

I have stated this before - the two young CBs I would like us to sign are Keenan Lewis from Pittsburgh and Cary Williams from the Ravens.

O-line - Matt Slauson from the Jets

Middle of the road free agent - Jairus Byrd, S, from Bills, very much like a Donte Whitner who was signed from the Bills by the 49ers, if I remember right.

Like them all as players but wasn't Slauson one of the guys that made some comments about Tebows ability at QB publicly? Which theres much truth to it. Tebow is not exactly relevant (right or wrong) to the Jets in terms of being there QB (Although some were calling for Tebow during tonights game)Just sayin I dont know if I want to take that chance of Slauson popping his mouth off again, I think he is decent Guard, not great in my opinion but would be an upgrade over any Guard we have considering our Man Blocking scheme that the Jets also run

i can live with his popping off...since it was about a little used back up. the whole tebow thing has to be grating to his teammates..since they know he sucks. at least he put his name to it.

sure but Tebow wasn't exactly relevant, whos to say if we pick him up that he wont pop his mouth off here to a backup, Backup or not it creates drama

OLB Spencer and CB Shields would be good signings. S Byrd will cost a lot.

because there won't be any tebow mania and nyc media to feed it....it's just a unique situation imo

Sean Smith got toasted by Luck in the dolphins game. He never gets his head around to look back for the ball, that is not a DB I want.

I want Cary Williams, good young corner who knows the system. I also like the mention of Matt Slauson form the Jets.

Sean smith is quite a physical corner like davis ( of whom he knows) but to be honest im still hoping that the eagles situation is so bad they release asomugha ( unlikely but possible)

    • It's a short week for both teams, both having played on Sunday, once again Bengals have the advantage of being at home and not having to travel.   We were at the game Sunday and the weather was perfect.  They may get some rain this evening, but that doesn't seem to bother Cincinnati.   I give them the edge.
    • We can blame the injuries for giving up a lot of points against Detroit, but the coaches have to shoulder the blame for the loss when Luck and Co. did what they did.   You can't look at the gameplan to slow their strength as anything but deficient when we gave up 200+ yards receiving to their backs...   It was a defensive coaching performance that goes in their employment file permanently.
    • Oops!  Yep, brain freeze on that one.  My bad. Kendall. Forgot all about Jones coming back.  Depth galore...
    • "Not have to see the military and other super patriotic stuff"     You've truly out done yourself with this nonsense sentence.       I agree,  the players have every right to protest the flag and anthem,  No matter how misguided they happen to be.    The issue at hand has nothing to do with either the flag or the anthem.   But good luck to those who want to get future endorsement deals while kneeling during the anthem
    • I will say, I agree with Most of your post.   I agree with you that it has nothing to do with the National Anthem protests, and more to do with alot of the other things you mentioned.   Where I disagree,  and this is neither here nor there in what matters, because everyone is entitled to their own opinions,  but I am of the group that happens to like the National Anthem at the start of the games.  That's just who I am, and what I believe is the right thing to do.   I also like Roger, (go ahead shoot me now)  but I just don't agree that he's to blame for the decline.
  • Welcome New Members

    • Welcome here Nils!   I can tell you, most of football fans in Hungary are Patriots fans...unfortunately.
    • Hi, Nils here....   I know a lot of Europeans support the Patriots, but all I can say is no way man, no way!   I'm not entirely sure when I started to follow and cheer for the Colts, but I has no shame in admitting that it was when Manning begun to really shine. It was probably back in 1999 because I seem to remember that play-off game against the Titans.   I also remember the I loved how the Colts would play a beautiful offensive game whereas other teams were boring with their defensive strengths. Aaaahh, those were the days!   I was introduced to American Football during my American Politics/presidential election study in Washington D.C. in the fall of 1996 (Clinton vs Dole). Didn't really get attached to any team back then, so you can say that Redskins just left me totally uninspired.   It is a great and welcoming forum here - and that is just how I remembered America too.
