You know, there was an interesting subtext to all the OL picks. I can't remember if Irsay, Grigson, Pagano or
ALL of them said it --- but was that they changed the KIND of offensive linemen they want.
it's all about having great feet. And they attributed that to the hiring of Philbin and the whispered idea that they're going to more zone blocking.
To me, that means there's very little chance that Holmes or Harrison beat out any of the four guys we picked --- even Blythe. I think the old paradigm was more big-body-maulers.
they want dancers now.
by the way, i nearly fell out of my chair when they chose Blythe in the 7th.
FOUR offensive linemen?
Definitely, my grandfather lived in Baltimore for a while and grew up watching him. He still pulled for Indy but always referred to them as Baltimore. I wasn't allowed to say the name Irsay in my house. The game sure has changed. I wish I could go back in time when players didn't get flagged for breathing on a player and defenses were actually feared by offenses.
