no quotes..no names......2nd round of chemo....hard core..

...cancer doesnt lose often........ I just wish he would stop worrying about football (sounds like he is) and other stuff and take care of himself...

That's the hardest thing to get cancer patients to do..sometimes...

They say in the story his doctors...not a name like John Smith but they are telling you who the information is coming from.

There are your quotes and names from a WTHR (the station the sent out the story) reporter.

Odds are in the race to be first they put up a quick article and will go back and add quotes and names.

A patients outlook can be as important as treatment. Pagano has this thing beat already, he said as much, and treatment so far shows likewise. I have the feeling they caught it early enough. This thing can be beat with early diagnosis, aggressive treatment in early stages, and positive patient attitude and outlook. Pagano is a strong man, and he has a strong support network, including us!

As long as the path to finishing the defeat of this remains on course, I support anything Pagano and his doctors allow him to do. And I hope it is a lot, and so much earlier than folks thought. Chuckstrong!

Well that does sound encouraging that his cancer is in remission.

The problem is it can come back in that 5 year range of remission.

He seems like a very strong willed man and I know he can beat it.

Exactly, but that man gives great speeches, the one yesterday after the game gave me a lump in my throat.

Great coach and a great human being.

Rackstraw was just on WFAN in Indianapolis saying he was at the Colts complex today and B.A. said the goal is that Pagano is back for the season's last game against the Texans...

If that happens I wouldn't want to be the Texans there is going to be an emotional steam roller wearing blue that day.

As someone who has dealt with cancer in his family for a few years, it is indeed great news to hear that it's in remission.

Wanted to post this here as well: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/05/chuck-paganos-cancer-is-in-remission/

The article in itself isn't really news. I got seriously angry by the fact that some people actually clicked the "dislike"-button on some of the statements, such as:

"Good for him! I wish him the best." - 27 dislikes.

"Keep fighting Coach! All the best to you and yours." - 22 dislikes.

What the heck is wrong with some people?

I'm glad to hear that Coach is in remission, and everything is going well for his recovery. Chemo is very hard on the body, and it takes time to get back the strength and stamina needed to be normal again. You could tell he was weak from the treatment in the video, but he looked great considering the effects of the chemo. Its going to take a while to get back the strength and weight back. While we want him back as soon as possible, I hope he doesn't overdo it by coming back too early. Only he and his doctors can determine that. I'm just glad that he's doing great...and his speech left me in tears...

Keep strong Coach!!!

Once Again At Colts Complex, Could Return To Coaching December 30th

During his Monday press conference, interim coach Bruce Arians said:

Our goal is to have him back on the sidelines by December 30th.

The Colts December 30th game is against the Texans. It is the final game of the 2012 regular season.

    • Grade the draft!
I hope Smith stays healthy and takes Butlers job from him. Butler is in the final year of his deal should be his last year in Indy. Smith is listed at 5'10 I am not sure he has the size to play outside.   That's why I would have looked at Jackson III at 18 and I would have jump all over Robinson CB LSU instead of Morrison at 125. NFL.com says "long press corner leaking with talent likely a top 40 pick if not for off field issues  is the early candidate for steal of the draft."   I don't see the need to reach for Morrison. He may have been there  in the 7th IMO. We have DQ Irving Moore Slyvestre even  Herrera on the roster at ILB.
    • Current Colts Roster (Post Draft)
Needs   1.) Pass Rush 2.) CB 3.) WR   Pass rush is the biggest and most obvious need. Unless Trent Cole can  get thugs going, Langford plays at the same high level, and Mathis has a bounce back season somehow I don't see the Colts getting to the QB very often. Unless our new D coordinator draws up some seriously good play calls.     CB mainly because Butler and Robinson are mainly inside guys. Just not sure how much better they will be just by replacing Toler. Maybe D. Smith can have a better year.   WR is a need in my opinion also. We have 3 starters there but after that the depth is not good. The Colts are not the healthiest football team. If one of the starting WR (Hilton, Moncrief, Dorsett) get hurt then WR becomes a huge need.
    • Current Colts Roster (Post Draft)
Yep.   That is why I prefaced - "This will evolve several times as we bring in other UDFA's and make moves throughout the off-season."
    • Current Colts Roster (Post Draft)
Some of those UDFAs are just tryouts. And I assume there will be some cuts on Monday.
    • Current Colts Roster (Post Draft)
Agreed. When we look at it on paper, pass rush is a concern.    Hopefully one of the new additions will surprise us.
