Colts Vs. Dolphins Game Day Thread

Hi, Colts fans! Our Colts will try to win their fifth game in 2012, as they host the Dolphins in the battle of 4-3 teams, as the Colts keep pace with the Texans for second place in the AFC North Division. Today's game could also have been a battle of rookie quarterbacks, the Colts Andrew Luck opposite the Dolphins Ryan Tannehill, but Tannehill is still probable because of his left knee injury he suffered last week at the New York Jets.

Dolphins unfortunately leads the all-time regular season series over the Colts 46 games to 24, including two playoff games. Colts and Dolphins started their rivalry when the Baltimore Colts defeated and shutout the Miami Dolphins 35-0 in the first season of the AFL- NFL merger at the Orange Bowl in Miami back on November 1, 1970.

Indianapolis though has won the last three regular season games led by a healthy Peyton Manning. Colts defeated the Dolphins 23-17 at the Sun Life Stadium back on November 2, 2003, winning 27-22 at the season finale back on December 31, 2006, and winning the most recent meeting at Sun Life Stadium at the Miami Gardens, by the score of 27-23 on Monday Night, September 21, 2009.

Colt's scoring highlights from that 2009 game included Peyton Manning passing for an 80-yard TD pass to Dallas Clark in the first quarter, Adam Vineteiri's two field goals from 43 yards and 48 yards in the second quarter, and his three PAT's, Donald Brown's 15-yard TD run, and Manning's 48-yard TD pass to Pierre Garcon in the fourth quarter to secure the Colts victory.

Kevin Harlan and former Bengal defensive back Solomon Wilcotts are announcing the live game TV commentary, seen regionally on The NFL On CBS, and in Indianapolis on WISH CBS 8 on HD.

Bob Lamey. our 'Voice Of The Colts.' announces the live game radio play-by-play, along with game analyst Will Wolford, and sideline reporter Kevin Lee, simulcasted on flagship stations WFNI ESPN SportsRadio 1070AM, and WLHK Country 97.1, and the Colts/Vectren Radio Network.

LOS's retractable roof may be closed for this afternoon's 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because clear and partly cloudy skies at 47 degrees, with a wind chill of 43 degrees is forecast, along with 53% humidity, 10% precipitation, and north/northwest winds at 8 miles per hour.

Colts are wearing their blue jerseys and white pants on the field at LOS this afternoon, , while the visiting Dolphins will wear their white jerseys, and aqua pants.

No injuries to both teams as Indianapolis attempts to improve their record to 5-3, and GO COLTS!!! :cheer::D:blueshoe::helmet::coltslogo::coltshorse::coltsfb::colts::coltslogo::1colts::jump::excited::cheer:

    • I can too. And that will tell us everything we need to know about how the view him. It will tell us their feelings on the tight end room, and what direction they pick from there will tell us even more.    but if they take him at 15, we won’t know much about what might have happened, as they will be landing someone they had rated highly and fell to them.
    • Glad that’s over…    if I wanted to argue about it, I would have responded far more in depth than pointing out how you were attempting to gaslight me. I did not. Meaning I was ending my part of whatever the argument was. You “putting a finality to it” and then listing bullet points tells me it was the argument you wanted all along, which makes sense why you brought Grigson up in the first place. Bait, hook, gaslight. Almost got me buddy. You are a funny guy, Doug
    • Putting a finality on an argument you want to have.   There is a theory that Ballard won't draft a OL high because ARs injuries were not caused by a poor oline.  I felt it important to note that since Luck's major injuries were also not caused by his oline, Ballard could still want to improve it like he did in 2018 simply because AR is The Franchise. And its important to point that out because there has been a running (false) narrative for about 9 years that Luck's oline was the (main) reason for his injuries that kept him out of games.  The (false) narrative is based upon, IMO, a detest of Grigson, and not reality about the facts (or strong rumors) behind the kidney laceration and snowboarding shoulder. Therefore, mentioning Grigson and the (false) narrative was germain to the point about Ballard possibly drafting Oline high this draft to protect AR. Mentioning Grigson shouldn't trigger a CB vs RG discussion, unless people reading it are gaslighted by their own reading lens.
    • That is a very inaccurate description of what happened.  At this point it’s history and doesn’t need to be revisited but I will say Chloe adds value to this board and should be and is by most encouraged to post, even if people don’t always agree with her.
    • My response was in regards to another posted suggesting that the Colts need to get the pick right when it comes to picking a WR. I agree with you .
