Successful Superstitions?

16 posts in this topic

Alright guys 2 game win streak, winning on the road, 1 game over .500.

Last week I wore my Colts "Chuckstrong" shirt. So obviously today I had to wear it again lol.

Anyone do any superstitions that payed off these two weeks?

When it's crunch time I like to pace around, verbally express my distaste with our players' mistakes, and sweat a lot. 40% of the time, it works every time.

I wore my lucky socks

For the longest time I wore these Colts pajama pants because they were so lucky.

I put them on at halftime of the 2006 AFCCG, and wore them every game for the next 4 years lol.

I absolutely cannot sit when it's late in the game and close. My family things I'm nuts, but I get so amped.

Superstitions, I really don't have any except I have to wear something Colts related. Being that I got my chuckstrong wristband and a coltstrong wristband (courtesy of winning a contest on this very forum!!!!! :dancing: :blueshoe: ) Occasionally i'll want all the kids to wear colts gear but thats not too often.

Now living with my 3 children I have toned down considerably. Although giving the importance of the game there is a reason i am a fanatic. So when its important all bets are off :nutz: But yeah I have to watch the game in the other room. Sunday mornings are routine for me. Kids can have the rest of the house. Leave me to the computer room until I come out!

Of course, there are updates throughout the house to wherever the wife is. Yet, Lately I have been trying to let the life sleep in more on Sunday so I have been taking care of Noah so she can sleep later. What really rocks is that at 3 months he will sit in his bumbo(or our laps) and watch football, college, nfl as long as its football he gets stuck.

Anyone remember that 9 game winning streak we had a few years ago that we needed to get into the playoffs? I remember watching the playoff game against the Chargers and they had a slow-mo shot of Peyton putting his helmet on and he had to flick his head side to side to get the hair out of his face haha. Tom Moore had told him to not change what he had been doing since the streak started and that included not getting his hair cut. It was funny to see Peyton having to brush the hair aside

    •   Hodges put a tweet out alluding to his past off season issues, and how he's paying for them now.  He was warning the young guys coming into the league that dumb things you do hurt you in the pocket book.   I don't know if that's the issue with him now, that he's expecting more $$$ and teams are afraid he'll screw up?  I like that he realized his mistakes.  He' be a decent addition.    Or it could be that the coaches just like how Morrison and Jackson are progressing?
    • Oh yeah she definitely has a little of the derpy look in her face. It doesn't appear to be as "bad" as true Persian kittens look lol.      Angel was a beautiful white Turkish Angora with piercing Green yellow eyes. To the day she died she was still playful and for whatever reason liked to "Box" with you. It was an awesome trait. 2I mean she was only two years younger than me so I don't really have any memories of my life before her. So I fell in love with the traditional cat type look. I also own two Boxer dogs though so I'm not opposed to the unique looks that can be had for our furry friends       Also Luna is an agile little ball. She slept most of the day yesterday but this morning she is crazy hyper and I found her in this precarious position....
    • Makes you wonder why a change was needed?   If 22 games went past 10 minutes, we could cut that in half to account for coaching for 10 minutes.   That's still 11 more ties in 5 years.   So 2+ more ties a year.
    •   I mean don't get me wrong, sometimes I definitely wish he wouldn't do it as much, but Hilton led the league in yards last year, so getting the ball in his hands should definitely be a priority.
    • Walterfootball pointed out that the Colts have a relatively easy early schedule with no real good QB's on the docket for the first 6 games.

    • Well, it's hard to be a far away fan but, when you come to a home game, it's all the sweeter.  Everybody in town wearing blue. It's fun!
    •   If any Chargers fans give you guff, you refer them to me.  I will take care of it.   I like the gear.  I am a big fan of the St. Patrick's gear.   If you couldn't tell from my name, I'm a green-loving Irish SOB.  What's luckier than a horseshoe AND a 4-leaf clover?  A QB named Luck?  Come on, if that isn't divine intervention...
