Stop messing around & finally put Bruce & Iron Maiden where they truly belong already. Enough is enough. This isn't funny anymore. It's time.

  2.

Looks like the Saints have been doing pretty good....shame i haven't been able to really enjoy it much this past month. Managing music seems to have taken up all my time now...

Sorry to hear about your health issues, that is terrible. Take care of yourself as well as you can. Yeah of the Saints Defense plays well you always have shot because of Brees.

      Bogie,

Never be afraid to call it like you see it in either your Saints or the Colts.

I really respect that about you: Your candor, your musical knowledge, your kind treatment of cats; & your knack/talent at evaluating albums, musicians, movies, & television shows you enjoy breaking down. You know your stuff & your presence on this forum is definitely an asset my friend.

Like CBE stated above, I hope you feel like yourself again soon. Your slant on things always intrigues me. Glad to see Brees & the Bayou turn their season around.

Yeah Bogie has always had the guts to debate me, for that I respect him. We have had some unreal debates over the years that many may not know about because they weren't on the open threads. Most of them were on his page. Above I meant - If the Saints Defense plays well, not of lol. This keyboard has tiny keys and I do that a lot with O's and I's.

It's based on the book covering the infamous movie 'The Room'. Tommy Wiseau personally picked James Franco to play himself. I have a hardback of the book and it was really interesting.

This is what he's imitating...James Franco has the accent down perfectly.

      Hey Bogie,

That trailer does look intriguing like Jules said. I remember James Franco & Seth Rogan from the TV series 'Freaks & Geeks." Those 2 do seem to click on screen together. Lovable losers you can't help but root for.

Thanks for bringing this flick to my attention.

You pretty sum up my worst fears of it...Was your neighbor's cat a miniature, like really small? That's what I have. All miniatures. The biggest ones are about half the size of a natural cat.

It's strange though cause it was only this one cat. i have a white one who is a miniature too and she had kittens and tended to them like any other cat (but sadly they didn't live). You mention another cat adopting the kittens as their own, and that is exactly what my white one did several months ago with a kitten that managed to survive to another cat (the mother died sadly) .

This specific cat though, it's so strange and it's been giving me headaches for months. First off, it went into heat back around March when it was still somewhat cold. It had kittens, and I'll never forget it just having them and leaving them there...she didn't clean them or nothing. It was like she had them, and moved on...I have had to force that cat to tend to them. This last litter that got killed off, I was forcing her into a box to make her feed them.

    3. teganslaw

      teganslaw

In response to your question,my neighbor's cat wasn't real small or miniature. She was over a year old, so didn't have kittens too young. I have no idea why she abandoned them; sometimes it just happens in nature,.

How is the cat's health now? You had mentioned that her body was broken after having kittens. That's quite  a large litter for such a small cat.

    4. Synthetic

      Synthetic

Hmmm, that might be a combination of issues come to think of it. This cat is less than a year old too. I didn't think a cat could go into heat at 7 months old, but it happened.

Her body suffered damage internally. She had 5 kittens and is real little, so it tore her insides up. She had difficulties with using the bathroom, which is hard to talk about without getting graphic and I don't want to gross anyone out. She lost most of her weight too, it's barely anything left to her weight-wise.

5 kittens though out of a small cat, oh yeah, it's hard to believe cause that's such a large litter.

All my cats are miniatures. Some of them are bob-tailed. The tail will be like a nub. I had some a few years ago with absolutely no tail at all.

And now the Minnesota hype train begins!! lmao

Here's my guarantee ahead of time...If the Vikings do make the playoffs, I promise that they will lose and either blame it all on the field goal kicker (1998 NFCCG vs Atlanta, vs Seattle a few years ago), or the refs (Drew Pearson hail mary!!!) or something stupid like 'Bountygate' (Saints NFCCG)....I hate this team and their whiny fans so much, cause nothing is ever their fault. They can never just take responsibility for losing. No, it's always someone else's fault or they make up a conspiracy like they did with Bountygate. They're the Hillary Clinton of NFL teams - they think they've automatically won in the playoffs before the game is even played, and then have a laundry list of people and things to blame when it don't go their way.

GO PACK GO...WIN THAT EASY DIVISION AND SEND THEM HOME CRYING IN PURPLE RAIN.

The only thing you have to hang your hat on ahead of time is that a Brees led team has often shown up vs. the Pats, even in a loss.

But this was the Brees teams without the slow child abusing aazz.

I am just glad I got to see another awesome Saints prime time game that I make time to watch. lmao I swear whenever I see them on at night the last few years they look like trash.

Your offense btw did look out of sync, maybe it is the Peterson effect and his slow child abusing aazz.

AP also looked POUTY, I am getting Tomlinson vibes now. But LdT never hurt a child, he is nothing but class. He is a very classy person.

And then after they show a wedding with everyone holding up those stupid towels. lmao Probably use them at funerals too.

Well if there is one thing I have going for me this year it's rooting against these clowns. I despise them. Most hate the Pats more, but not me. Steelers are #1. They are the crud of the Earth and for all we know they even win the Super Bowl this season.

But it will be tough to win it all for them.

If we went 1-15 and beat the Steelers to me thats a good season.

And that rap music, omg.........WHY. lmao It makes me prefer to listen to Shaq rap instead since he wasn't even that bad at it really.

Oh yeah the part with the babies wrapped up in the towel is sad. lmao I've heard about that for years but never believed it until I seen it.

My favorite part though is Le'veon Bell's crappy rap music. WHY YOU HATIN ON ME should be his nickname. lmao

Big Ben got married and had kids as a PR move though lmao

And it even shows the Neil O'Donnell pick six they act like never happened. WORST PICK SIX EVER in the SB....I know the Tracy Porter INT hurt but seriously, that one was way worse and is still funny. You have to see that clip, there was no one there, O'Donnell literally gave that to them gift wrapped. lmao

God I hate the Steelers, same here. My #1 AFC team I hate more than anything, never liked them ever. I like certain historical players on their teams (Bradshaw, Swann, Rod Woodson, Bill Cowher) but I hate that team so much, and I felt so bad for the Colts losing to them in 2005. I know that had to be painful.

  9. Look what I found this morning - Roger Staubach's hail mary game vs the Vikings with the actual drive.

Amazing how many times this drive nearly kills them...The low snaps, and one of them is even fumbled, and Staubach has to run around under pressure.

The 4th and 17 play is amazing, and then right after, BOOM hail mary to Drew Pearson.

Dallas almost upset the Steelers in the SB a few weeks later....Of all the Steelers SB's, it's the first one against Dallas that is usually regarded as the best...This wildcard Dallas team was such big underdogs, and almost upset the Steelers. Amazing team.

Yeah that Ravens team was really Good. I am not so sure they wouldn't of won the SB had they got by us. They would've had HFA over the Pats. McNair had already made one SB. That game was a rare case where our Defense won the game and Peyton rode the D.

Manning had a rough game here and many will point to his stats as being ugly, but he did everything to get the win. I don't think it's fair to really talk about his ugly stats here as if it's negative. Favre used to have games like this often, where the stats would be ugly but all that matters is coming off with that win.

That Ravens D was #1 across the board that season. Many were saying "it's 2000 all over again". Most would also have assumed if you held our offense to zero TDs that we lose the game.

I personally loved this game since it showed we could win in different ways finally and in a hostile environment to boot.

I remember at the end of the game Manning did have a clutch third down conversion to Clark. And we ran the ball well to run out the clock instead of trying to play hero with the pass you know.....unlike the Falcons. lmao

      Quote

I liked how the Colts defense played in this game. The commentators constantly mention how bad their run defense is, and yet they focused on shutting down the run entirely.

Our run D was money that entire postseason. Most don't realize just how bad it was during the regular season, dead last and we gave up 375 rushing yards to the Jaguars in a game.

Just a really fun game in Baltimore, I remember not thinking we would ever lose the game either though while it was happening.

I am never picking Green Bay to win again. Not after 2014 when they had a gift wrapped playoff game handed to them vs Dallas, then a week later put up the greatest choke job ever in an NFCCG game. This is a team that can't even win when the other QB gifts them 5 interceptions...

This past off season, their defense got worse...That's usually what costs them in the playoffs every year besides Rodgers getting outplayed by other QB's. I don't trust the Packers at all...Only way they get in is if the entire NFC regresses, and they have some year like 2010 where they get a perfect match in every playoff game.

This happens every year though...GB is the favorites every summer and it always ends the same way with a big epic blow out. I knew that whole week leading up to the NFCCG that Atlanta was going to beat them to pieces...I could just feel it.

    4. Synthetic

      Synthetic

I think I am going to roll with Seattle as a safe pick...I trust them a hell lot more than I do GB even though they're a team that is regressing...The Packers can't even beat them in a playoff game where Wilson easily give them 5 interceptions. That's why I have no faith in GB...If not for Atlanta, we would still be talking about that 2014 NFCCG as the perfect choke job...

I've felt for the past 2 years we were going to get a Seahawks/Pats SB rematch. I am probably totally wrong, but it just feels like a safer pick.

The Saints aren't contenders even if they do have a good season. My gut tells me the saints go 10-6 or 11-5 and I am usually very negative about their chances...This team just feels so much better to me right now, I don't know what it is. But the Panthers concern me cause they're so unpredictable and usually when they're under the radar, that's when they have that special 11-5 season where they come out of nowhere and take it.

The Giants are another team that is hyped up like GB every year, and I don't see it happening for them either. Their best player is a baby who completely loses his mind the minute a corner can play physical with him....Coughlin isn't there anymore, so any wish that Odell matures and stops imitating Andre Rison, Terrell Owens and Steve Smith, that ain't gonna happen...Odell will be the death of that team, and I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Seattle and GB are safe picks cause they play in god awful divisions. This will be yet another year a mediocre Packers team wins the NFC North cause it's the new AFC South, and Seattle will cruise to an easy division win since no one in the NFC West is competent to give them issues except the Rams who will probably sweep them and still go 6-10.

  11. If the negative reception tonight in L.A. is anything to go by, the Chargers should've stayed in San Diego...That stadium is going to be overrun with opposing team fans all the time. It's going to be worse than when it happened at Qualcom. This is only preseason and yet there are so many empty seats and a visible portion of Saints fans all over the place.

The Saints defense looked GOOD last night. I was amazed. We had 30 sacks last year and in just 2 preseason games I think we have around 15 right now.

I know it's only preseason so I am not getting too excited but they looked great against the Chargers starters, and there seems to be a better emphasis on tackling fundamentals which is all I care about. I am so tired of seeing our bad tackling over the years and last night they seemed to be making concentrated efforts at tackling.

They finally won a preseason game and it came on my birthday. lmao

I've seen statistics on the preseason games, and NO rookie rb, Alvin Kamara, seems like the real deal. I'd be surprised if the Saints don't find a place for him on their roster. He was quite impressive in the two preseason games.

He reminds em of Chris Ivory a bit but with more speed.

  13. Check out my new kittens that are as of today, 16 days old. There's 5 of them, they're healthy, chubby and LOUD. The white one especially thinks it's Prince and tries to scream like a banshee with perfect falsetto.

Note - this little cat is a miniature and it's so hard to believe, as small as she is, she did have 5 kittens. One of them blends in with the pictures cause it's solid gray. These were taken last week before I had to move them. As you can see, one of them is already climbing out. That little white one is a speed demon. I had to move them into a cardboard box cause she was climbing out and following me around the house.

19 days old, I have to put them outside eventually. I didn't get much sleep the other day cause they're so LOUD. They might be tiny but they're loud as hell.

The white one has escaped multiple times. I had to go out and buy a set of cardboard boxes and I built them a box that they can't climb out of.

The mother cat gets on my nerves though...I don't think she has proper maternal instincts cause she has to be forced to tend to the kittens. It's difficult to explain without witnessing it. She ignores them, she'll clean them but I have to take her and put her in the box and make her feed them. That's the main reason I brought them inside. If they were still outside, she probably would've abandoned them by now.

      teganslaw

As a rule reboots are never as good as the original show. Hollywood seems to be running out of ideas, so they think that a reboot is in order. Most of them are unnecessary; it's best to leave well enough alone.

    2. Synthetic

NBC already screwed up some of their older series. Knight Rider and MacGyver were big letdowns.

Vin Disiel and Chris Morgan as executive producers of Fast and Furious are handling this. That's enough to tell me it's probably going to be terrible. I'd feel better if Michael Mann was involved since Vice really is his creation and without him, it never would've took off.

Locals in Miami have said that it's next to impossible to get filming rights in town anymore. The Rock and HBO were forced to move 'Ballers' out of state. Even Michael Mann struggled getting to shoot the Miami Vice film there 10 years ago. Dexter had issues there too during it's run.

The original show was 100% filmed in Miami 30 years ago when things were different. Good luck to NBC and whoever if they're going to film in Atlanta or L.A. and try to fool people...

I agree Bogie. NBC should stay away from any Michael Mann Vice reboots. I have too much respect for Mann to see how horribly they will sabotage his groundbreaking TV series.

Man, it ticks me off when greedy executives do this. Grrr!

In the opening, the announcer says the Colts had never won in Three Rivers Stadium, can anyone tell me if they ever did win there before the stadium became Hienz?

Not sure.......but I just know our history with the Steelers has been horrible.

I would actually be curious myself someday if anyone could ever do a complete run down on the Colts/Steelers in history including the Baltimore Colts.

    Notes so far -

The teams presented here are very fair and I only have minor disagreements on a few. The 1998 Colts are in instead of the iconic 1995 team. I don't know enough about the 95 Colts if they were better or worse than the 1998 team. One that I definitely disagree on is the 1991 Lions. 1995 was the peak year of the Barry Sanders Lions, and the one year Scott Mitchell looked like he was worth that ridiculous contract. I think the 1990 Bears are a forgettable team, but it was the last hurrah of the iconic and aged out 80's team, so they are a good piece on there. Another one that could be argued is the 1992 Eagles, since the 1991 team had a historic defense that is still talked about to this day, but I imagine the 1992 team got the nod over 1991 due to Randall Cunningham being healthy. He was out in 1991, and it's pretty difficult to image the Eagles in Tecmo without the infamous "QB EAGLES" as he's called in the NES version.

I ran several simulations the past few days (COM vs COM) and these were the results....

    1998 Jets vs 1997 Chiefs

Anyone remember when Vinny Testerverde was good? 1998 was the best year of his career and for those that rooted for him when he was labeled a bust, this was the one moment where Vinny shined in excellence, and he goes on to do that in Tecmo. Jets win this game 13-7 after scoring on consecutive drives to go up 10-0 early and then the rest of the game turned into a defensive slug fest.

    1995 Steelers vs 1996 Patriots

The two AFC winning teams between '95 and '96. This was surprisingly a very defensive heavy game. Both quarterbacks passed for around 250 yards, but neither could score much. Neither team could really run the ball, though Curtis Martin got around 90 yards in total. The Steelers went up 7-0 for most of the game, but then Bledsoe leads them down the field twice in the 4th to go up 14-7...Neil O'Donnell gets a fluke lucky hail mary to tie the game, then in OT, O'Donnell does it again and wins off a fluke (he also threw 3 interceptions in this game). Steelers win 20-14.

    1998 Colts vs 1999 Jaguars

So far, the highest scoring game I've simulated. The Jags win 44 to 31, but most of this was a very back and forth scoring game where both offenses excelled. There was a few turnovers here and there, but the Jags mostly won from being up big early. Colts storm a comeback twice and make it a game, but can't keep up with the Jags in the 4th quarter.

    1994 49ers vs 1998 Falcons

The biggest surprise of all games so far. The Falcons scored on the first play after Ricky Watters fumbles the ball and it goes back for a TD. Atlanta jumped to a 14-3 lead, and then slowed down but the 49ers had 4 turnovers in this game, and both running backs Watters and Floyd went down injured. Steve Young had a big game, and the 49ers came back in this game after a safety and some turnovers help them but ultimately went on to lose it, 29 to 31. Huge upset...

    1992 Saints vs 1992 Eagles

Tough game between two iconic defenses that play lights out. The Saints go up 10-0 early, but then come the Eagles who slowly tie the game. Randall Cunningham's running around mostly saves the Eagles in the end after a bad Bobby Herbert interception. The Saints of the "Cha ching" era go on to CHA-CHOKE this game away with turnovers in the 4th quarter. Eagles win 24-17

    1992 Cowboys vs 1999 Bucs

This game wasn't close at all. Emmitt Smith ran all over the Bucs defense, though Tampa Bay did get some big sacks and a few turnovers (including a rare interception covering Michael Irvin). The Bucs defense played great apart from letting Smith have a big game, but it was Tampa Bay's offense that sunk them. 31-14 Cowboys.

    1996 Packers vs 1996 Panthers

Rain game, so both teams look sluggish by Tecmo standards. The final score was 19 to 7, but this game wasn't close at all. Brett Favre had three passes that went for around 55-60 yards to Antonio Freeman who had a big day. He still had one interception, ironically on a short pass where he was picked off by Sam Mills. The Panthers offense was awful in this game, Reggie White had 3 sacks.

    More games later....

Interesting they have the 1998 Colts, that was Peyton's rookie season though so that is maybe why.

The '98 Colts were pretty bad, only won 3 games. But they could score points as the year went on more due to a rookie Manning and some serious budding offensive talent all around. So when you say it was a high scoring game where both offenses did well, thats why too. I think I remember us losing some high scoring games that year.

Colts in 1999 then reversed fortunes and went from 3-13 to 13-3. So the signs of a very good Colts offense despite only winning 3 games was there in '98. '99 Colts lost in the playoffs to the Titans.

I think in '98 the Jaguars were a very good team and won a playoff game under Coughlin.

  25. Hayward is reunited with Stevens in Boston. Congrats, happy for him since this is what you wanted. A better fit than Miami for sure.

I am not saying at all he is Lebron's level, duh. Nobody really is. Very very few. Lebron is a God among men. Just that I have seen legit video evidence that Hayward competes very hard vs. Lebron and doesn't stand around acting all scared of him like many others do. So perhaps next year Boston grows a pair vs. the Cavs in home games vs. Cleveland.

And they don't need PG to get that edge. I'm beginning to think the PG stuff is overblown. He does not perform well against LeBron. Even though he's faced him so many times, he's got an 0-5 playoff record vs him. He may have pushed those Miami Heat teams to a 7 game series, but he didn't come out the winner. I think PG is better off in OKC.

Ok that is odd, I never met a cat who liked that stuff. She must be a secret wild child kitty.

There are still rumors that PG can end up in Boston someday. lmao That if it don't work out in OKC he may still be traded to Boston. And right now rumors about how Boston is currently shopping Crowder, Smart and maybe Bradley but what the heck ever at this point.

I got no idea anymore, I am lost.
