Same to you GFB. Never lose your skewed sense of humor buddy! Actually, you're humor perfectly fine. I'm the 1 that probably needs to be institutionalized. LOL!

  4. Both ND and Navy showed class at the end of the game!  Kudos to the school, coaches and team!

  5. Sat on my lawn chair to watch flyover.  Somehow I love just watching the flyover but it’s sad when they go into the MIA formation!  For all the Vets, thank you for your service.

  6. it was a great week, got to meet up with many friends, met new friends, even met a guy and wife from my home state and got a Colts victory,  I’m on my final leg home and will be with my crusty old pillow tonight.  Go Colts!

Lol!  I always tell my son that he was a Colts fan and have pictures to prove it.  I helped him get ready for school and many times put him in a Colts shirt!  No my son is a sports fan not really a Colts fan but he follows most sports.  Some may have “Breaking News” on their cell, he has “Breaking Sports News” on his.... Thanks Gramz it was great meeting you!

  7. It may have been an ugly W but L would’ve made my trip home long and unpleasant!

  9. Trying to set my itinerary for my Indy trip

"Itinerary" I always liked that word. Plus, it sounds more sophisticated than just saying schedule too. A+ on your diction/vocabulary during the Natl. Spelling Bee contest 100GFB.

Have fun just not so much fun that you forget what you did. Just Joking Man!

There may be other words that you may like but I can't use it in this family friendly forum!  Lol!

  10. What a way to spend my niece's graduation.  I'm sitting in the stadium parking lot an hour now and have two more hours to go.  The bed of my truck is loaded with supplies so I can't leave it.  Hey it's family so I got to suck it up and be thankful.

You were there at least around the action.

My cousin graduated from college yesterday and sadly it was too many states away so I just got pictures lol. But, still it looked fun. Graduations are a blast and sometimes the after celebrations.

Just promise me that 2017 will be a less devastating yr for losing iconic musicians & boxers my man.

In all seriousness, I sincerely hope that a new yr brings good fortune your way 100GFB & all my forum friends actually.

  13. I was gonna give my homies priority of little freebies I got from the Colts game but guess my homies from 808 aren't interested!

    1. shecolt

      shecolt

I don't know what 808 means, but that was really kind of you to offer to share.

    2. southwest1

      southwest1

I googled 808 as an area code & Hawaii popped up on screen. That's what I figured GFB meant shecolt.

I assumed my brother from another mother has close from the Aloha State. I'd love to be chilling there right now as opposed to freezing my ice cubes off in WI. LOL!

We are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow over the weekend BTW. Son of a...

    3. alawai

      alawai

Yup 6-8 inches of snow is not a good weather forecast!

  14. Any 808/HNL Colts fans out there. Send me a message

  15. Now the long journey back home.  Can't wait to get back to my crusty old pillow!  The Indy weather was not kind to me but bottom line it's all about Colts football!

Why is your pillow 'crusty?' Just messin' with ya buddy. I always do that with cool cats I like 100GFB.

You can wash your pillow case you know or perhaps put less gel in your hair. LOL!

I know; I know with friends like me who needs enemies or warm & fuzzy relatives right?

All kidding aside, I am glad you had a good time & arrived home with no complications or delays of any kind mi amigo.

  16. I arrived on Friday-rain; Saturday-cold and wind; Sunday-cold; Monday-little warmer but cold; Tuesday-little cool but much better; today Wednesday-rain!  Indy does not like me!

Lol!  No it's me as every game/year that I attended there was bad weather!  I do games no later than early November so this is the latest I've been here.  Anyway I've had cold, wind, flurries, rain and that horrendous Artic freeze with a wind chill of negative 5!

Southwest1.  It's not an authentic but it is a leather helmet!... Leather is not thick so by saying your head is as thick as leather is questionable!  Now people have asked about me being a leather head and what part of the animal was used for my head?  Now that is insulting!  Well at least there's a reason my head is up my a**!

And here I thought you were wearing it all along like me!! :)

Southwest1/Brent - I should get Adam V to autograph the helmet!  No offense to him but the ageless wonder is doing great!  Yeah he's also doing great!  Lol!... Brent haven't seen you around since Fred and Wilma got married!

  19. It's gonna be a long morning this Sunday!  I've got to rearrange my weekend exercise schedule and get up bright and early to watch my Colts! You won't believe the things I do/sacrifice for my Colts!

    1. southwest1

      southwest1

If it helps, just skip your Sunday workout & say today, I'm just gonna exercise my mind watching the game, eating snacking, & swallowing a thirst, quenching beverage.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste you know. It needs to be flexed like any other muscle man.

  20. Home!  After two weeks I finally have my own pillow to drool on!  Long but but good trip/vacation.  The "Big House" in Michigan, Ford Factory, Rock &Roll HOF, Ft.Ball HOF, Rogue Gym, OSU and last but not least Colts opening game at the Lucas!

    1. southwest1

      southwest1

They'd have to kick me out of the Rock n Roll HOF 100GFB. The security guard would be like "Hey SW1, I've gotta lock up & turn out the lights man. Maybe you need to see if a Summer internship is available dude."

    2. alawai

Both R/R and Ft Ball HOF were great!!  If you have the opportunity to visit take it!

I'm glad you had a good time GFB minus the raindrops that is.

Yeah, I never travel anywhere near Ohio, but perhaps someday an altered itinerary on purpose is mandated in my case. Good advice.

Are we robbing a bank, cruising for pretty ladies, or just pumped for Sunday bro?

Just messin' with ya. Hey, the day you stop admiring the female landscape is the day you die.

It's like a museum--No touching is allowed, but you can enjoy the decor & ambiance right?

Okay, I'll shut up before I dig myself a hole I can't get out of. haha

  23. What a week!  On Thursday someone came into our garage - door was up and wife was home.  We got a video from a neighbor and the guy came in and stayed 10 minutes!  He went through my wife's car and took some money and her garage remote.  He then went through my bike basket and took some money and an old pocket knife! He went to my bike and took an fluorescent water bottle holder from the bike handle.  We had to reprogram the garage door remote.... Today I lost the house key on my walk so went down to Lowe's to change our deadbolt and door handles!... Lucky for me I can watch my Colts!  WHAT THE GAME IS CANCELLED!... Oh well I've got my Coors Light!

So, I'll tell you my terrible tale.  Years ago, I was at my brother in law's wedding.  When we went home we found that our glass door had been broken and the house ransacked.  The good news is that they caught the guys, they were driving a truck around, robbing houses and loading the truck.  So, I got my stuff back.  But, the police told me that often, houses are robbed 1 month later because criminals know that people have insurance and replace things.  Which we did.  So, even though they caught the criminals, they must have not caught everyone.

We replaced our glass door side with a steel door/deadbolt and the neighborhood started a crimewatch.  One month later, the front door was taken off it's frame and the house ransacked again.  My neighbor didn't notice until she saw the police at our house.  WE MOVED.  That solved the problem.

I have a friend who's mom has a kitchen in the garage.  I guess some Indian families use a garage kitchen to keep the smells out of the house.  She left the garage door partly open to let out smells and a kid came in and walked right into their house.  They had security camera on the entry from the garage so, they got a good picture and the police caught him.  That ending was happier than mine :(

I dislike these war stories but we should share our experiences so some us can take notes and be a vigilant.  When we first moved into our newly built home (our present), I didn't turn the alarm on and you guessed it!  Basically money, old coins - dimes with no copper, buffalo nickels, old pennies, silver dollars, $2.00 bills and jewelry were taken!  They also took an outdated check book (account was closed) and tried to cash it.  My wife's name wasn't on it but they used her name.  It was tracked down and the check cashing company held the suspect.  We went to court but nothing happened after.  I guess the police dropped the case.  I learned a lesson to set the alarm!

Sorry you had to deal with this 100GFB :(
