I was talking to a couple of my friends who happen to be die hard Pats fans and they were mentioning an article talking about their CB problems. Their corners are just as weak as ours and the plan of this article was interesting. It was talking about the Pats taking a corner with one of the late 2nd round picks which is similar to our 3rd. What it said was that you aren't going to get a #1 CB at that pick. They felt they had a guy who was a solid #2. So rather than taking another #2 guy, use the depth in this draft to your advantage and take a guy like Boykins or Bentley. They are smaller corners who are great in man coverage. They would normally be called nickle corners but in this current pass happy league they have huge value. They might not be able to cover guys like Vincent Jackson, Calvin Johnson, or Dwane Bowe due to size. Their strength would be covering smaller speed receivers very well. They could cover guys like Welker, Wallace, Harvin in man coverage. That could be huge. Get your #1CB either in next years draft or FA.

Agree that were not going to get a 1 CB unless we take a chance on Janoris he could easily become 1.As far as the draft goes this year with so many needs i dont see how we dont go BPA at every pick, the more we reach the less talent we will have.

Jenkins would be in the first round and 1st-2nd corner off the board if it werent for trouble, we need a guy that can cover a Dwayne Bowe, Andre Johnson (big wide receivers who we see twice a year) Kenny Britt is 6'3' he is big and we see the Titans twice a year. Jenkins may very well be a #1 especially if our Corners dont prove themselves this year in the new system (which I suspect they will, well at least thats my hope) anything past Kirkpatrick, Claiborne and Jenkins and your looking at project players who are #2 and thats at best

Janoris Jenkins: 5ft 10in, 183lbs
Brandon Boykin: 5th 10in, 183lbs
Dwight Bentley: 5ft 10in, 182lbs

Whilst talent is differential, the argument of size does not come into this debate, those 3 corners are similar in physical stature.

I know that this is probably far fetched but i have realized that Dre kirkpatrick is mocked to go anywhere from 13-20. He is 6 food 2 and could be a number one corner. If we were to trade up i would try to get him. what do you think it would cost and what do you think??

shouldn't trade up at all. we need to cover nd create depth in too many areas. draft BPA best option
