If you haven't seen how they pulled off the win over Gonzaga yet do yourself a favor and check it out!

I am personally looking forward to seeing IU play Purdue to see who the SECOND best team is in Indiana ha ha.

In all seriousness Brad Stevens is rapidly removing the "young" from best young coach in college basketball.

Also between "the Butler did it" and all the plays on Andrew Luck's last name Indiana is rapidly starting to take ownership of bad Sports Puns.

Thank You Peyton! I look forward to the day you come home and we get to do this good bye thing right!

I don't think there is any question Brad Stevens is "the best basketball coach in all of college BB"    And he has been.

IU or Purdue would be wise to throw the bank at him when he decides to move on.....  IF he moves on.    He is very happy at Butler and in Indianapolis.     I don't see him leaving the state.

I personally cannot stand Crean, Stevens has turned me into a Bulldog....  I really wish Zeller had chose Butler instead of IU, it almost happened.

I don't think the Purdue job would interest him.  He pretty much has that job now.  For years Purdue made a living on getting the Indiana kids that didn't go to IU and while maybe not as talented as the IU kids made up for it with hard work.  Now those kids go to Butler.

The one job that I think might interest him is the Duke job when it comes open one day.  It's very similar to Butler in that it's a smaller school that is a basketball school.  A lot of people have said he's trying to build a Duke at Butler so I could see that being a fit for him.  With that said Duke might want a Coach K coach rather than Stevens.  I could easily see him staying at Butler for years too.

Word on the recruiting trail is Butler is the leader to land Trevon Bluiett, if that happens LOOK OUT...     Trey Lyles "could" be next.

If Brad S starts landing blue chip talent he will never leave Butler.     He has Butler on the fringe of becoming a powerhouse.

Bummer on the 1 point loss to Lasalle last evening.....missing Clarke hurt them in that one......4 points off the bench was a killer....Love the Bulldogs :)

Well i love Butler but your talking the second best team in indiana when you mention the name.IU would beat the Bulldogs 7 out of 10 in my opinion not to mention they are not playing in the Big 10 facing good teams night in night out even if not being ranked.Stevens is a great coach, but dont get over confident,NCAA tourney will sort it all out

Little to no chance of either going after Stevens. Unless one or both programs went off a cliff cause of some bone headed decision I think it's safe to say for now the three coaches will stay where they are possibly the end of this decade.

Butler looked very solid as they beat Temple 83-71!!!  Rotnei Clarke had 24 points, and significant contributions were made by Kellen Dunham, Khyle Marshall and Kameron Woods.

Clarke looked winded after a 4 game absence late in the game....in front of a sold out Hinkle!!!  Saint Louis next.....Jan 31.

Butler took it to the chin last night at St. Louis.  I was amazed at the defensive intensity of the Bikkikens.  I was saddened at the Death of Rick Majerus on December 1.  Former Indiana Hoosier player/assistant and Evansville coach Jim Crews seems to have the team in good shape.

Straight up Brother Jay!  His Evansville teams used to go at it with the big boys....the man knows Bob Knight defense....even though he does play zone out of bounds.... haha

Yep they were a NCAA Tournament team last year and are playing for their late coach and frankly out toughed Butler which is something not many teams are going to be able to do.

Also Brad Stevens made a comment about seeing everyone's best shot.  Make no mistake these kinds of games are going to pay off big time for Butler come March.  I think this team is going to have another deep tourney run this year and with all due respect to Indiana State, Valpo, Notre Dame, and yes even IU fans maybe even the deepest run by an Indiana team this year!

Lol even tho they won against IU ,still think the Hoosiers beat them 7 out of 10

I don't know.  I wont question that IU has more talent than them but Butler is playing better than they are and I think Butler is the better "team" even if they don't have better talent.  I also think Butler has the edge at Head Coach and that's no disrespect to Tom Crean who I think is a very good coach I just think the list of who is better than Brad Stevens is about a handful of names if that.

Also I think Butler is more built for the tournament and their style of play is very hard to get ready with the quick turn around the tournament has.  IU on the other hand has a tendency to get beat by teams that don't quit against them, that normally ends up biting a team come tourney time.  I think IU and Butler should both have very deep runs in the NCAA tournament though.  Of course two years ago it was Notre Dame and Purdue that were supposed to have a shot at the final four and both were gone by the sweet 16 and Butler made the final four so should and doing it are two different things.

Thank You Peyton! I look forward to the day you come home and we get to do this good bye thing right!

Butler loses a big lead in the second half but holds on to beat GW 59-56.  Turnovers just about doomed Butler with 18.....very unusual for this team.  Butler also struggled to shoot it well from 2 and 3 point range as well as the free throw line.  A W is a W!!!!!

Yeah, I want to be clear I think both are good teams.  Indiana is very blessed to have to quality programs like Indiana and Butler.  Also keep an eye on Indiana State and Valpo as possible NCAA tournament sleepers.  Add to that Notre Dame has a pretty good team and Indiana has recovered very well from a few years ago when no Indiana schools made the big dance.

I just wish my Cardinals could join the party... "sigh"

Butler lost its second game to St. Louis and Jim Crews.  I would not want to play them in the NCAA.  Amazing to me that St. Louis is unranked yet at the top of the A-10 ahead of both the Bulldogs and VCU.  Butler needs to start playing better.  Two losses at Hinkle...tough to take.

Butler is really struggling right now against the pressure of Saka Smart's  VCU Rams.  It is early, 19-10 and VCU has 10 points already off of turnovers.  This is not a customary start for the Bulldogs....Lets see if they can get it rolling in a hostile environment!!!

They look like they peaked too soon.  Something isn't right there and I am not sure what it is.  It could be a full year of getting every team in the A-10's best shot has finally worn them down.

The A10 is no joke, and Smith and Clarke are hurting...

They are fine...      Butler has only one "bad" loss...    @ Charlotte.

LaSalle was pretty bad too...without Clarke.  Charlotte was at home....both St Louis losses sucked...but St Louis is the best team nobody knows about!!!

VCU was flat out strong today....I agree with ya JD...I had not checked LaSalle's record lately....  They were not strong when we played them.

Today was horrific...
