Gavin
Hmm... A running back? Are we taking our bell cow to slaughter?Im assuming a potential replacement for Karim if we lose him on kick returns since he is a FA or depth because Moore is FA and he is 30 years old and he is a unrestricted FA, one of those two likely scenarios in my opinion

If Graham is drafted, it's to replace Brown.

If Graham is drafted, it's to replace Brown.Possible I suppose but its illogical to try and replace a Back that does not need replaced when we have two other FA Backs when one of them is 30 years old, Actually it would be pretty illogical unless Brown proves to not be fully recovered, Before he was injured and was getting less playing time because of that injury he was averaging 4.0 ypc compared to Ballards 4.1 not a big difference at all literally the difference in a carry with either player, Ballards just had more carries due to Brown getting injured

But getting 78 yards in 18 snaps does count.

BleedBlu8792
Hmm.. I wonder if Thomas makes it out of the 2nd round. If he's a true 4.4 guy with that size I doubt he makes it out of the 2nd.Or could this potentially be the Colts first guy?
Nobody
Shamarko Thomas is crazy fast. Ray Graham is a great value player. Shamarko will skyrocket after the combine. 4.3 40 capable.

jskinnz
There is nothing illogical about talking to these players at all. It is all part of doing their homework on everyone. It is what NFL teams do. I am sure they will talk to a few QB's as well despite the presence of Luck on the roster. And I would suggest that RB is a position of need, if not for depth. And really, what has Brown proven other than he has trouble staying healthy? I am not bashing the guy but if the most important ability is availability, is it really that hard to see him not being on the roster next year? chad72
LeSean McCoy is also from Pittsburgh, just FYI . However, our RB coach, if I remember right, had coached Donald Brown and Dion Lewis, another Pittsburgh RB in the NFL at some point in time. His familiarity with the Big East combined with a player Grigson might be interested in could all have contributed to this interview, IMO.

Usually we keep a list of "players of interest" prior to the draft. A lot of the guys we draft aren't even on that list.

Tark The Shark
Shamarko is a no brainer in my mind to snag probably in the first round. We need a SS to help solidify that secondary because that was one of the weak spots in the defense. Graham is a bit of a head scratcher in my eyes because of the bringing in of Ballard last year. I guess that would mean that Grigson isn't sold on Brown or Carter as a viable #2 RB to Ballard.
lollygagger8
I would guess Carter is a goner. Brown doesn't have a future here after his contract, or maybe he gets let go as well, idk. Definitely would not be unhappy with a safety that can run 4.
Warhawk
They've never seemed to have much faith in Carter, and Brown is injury prone. Graham is projected as a mid-round guy at the moment. So don't panic and think we'll be taking a RB in the first round.

betheafan41
why are we interviewing running backs??? we should be interviewing every defensive player and offensive lineman, not running backs. pick up a undrafted FA RB during the summer. Not really Ballard is a bruiser that hurts people has a game goes on you see teams don't want to tackle him but no brakaway speed. Graham has SPEED and shiftyness home run hitter that a defense will fear plus a pass catcher to,. may make a nice 1/2 punch. Graham may be alot like Macoy for Phill. That is even more worrisome because how do you pack all that muscle into that 5'9" frame without some juice? ;) (that was in the back of our minds with Sanders too)
