If anything, that's the exact opposite of what the Pats do.  You rarely see the Pats make gestures like this or go out an do trash talking in the media.  This is just some fan or a few fans who had some extra bucks and decided to have a little fun

i meant to write patriot fans sorry

I agree 100% 21isSuperman. The Patriots never say any derogatory about a team or player publicly. Typically, they praise Flacco. Sing sweet complements of him all over the airways. Pour metaphoric perfume all over him in the locker room media sessions,  & then confuse, sack, & demolish his psyche & body all over Gillette Field in Foxboro. Like a beautiful who turns on her feminine charms of seduction you then & then takes you back to private room to throw you around in a bloodthirsty MMA cage match. Kill their adversary with kindness & then pulverize them. It's their stellar football business model & it actually works well for them.

Regarding Ray Lewis, I agree his years of superior play as a LB in the NFL deserve a more esteemed level of appreciation that than sign makes a mockery of. Robert Kraft & Bill Belichick had nothing to do with this short sighted act of stupidity. I can promise you that.

Living 50 miles east of Chicago we have a mix of Bear and Colts fans and we have one common thread.

We all want anyone except New England to win the Super Bowl, this billboard is just another reason why.

I never understand why a business slams a HOF NFL player with a giant countdown sign anyway just to generate business. It's counterproductive, foolish, & can easily backfire. Teams may need additional motivation to put their warrior paint on during game day once in awhile, but blatant disrespect for 1 of the best LB's this league has ever produced is not a wise move. Ever! Again NE as a franchise played no part in this disrespectful sign in my view. I blame the private citizen or corporation that paid for the sign not the NE organization. The vast majority of Foxboro fans admire Ray Lewis as a competitor too who never quits as well.

Just so everyone is aware, Clear Channel is a national media company that happens to have an office in Boston. I don't believe any fans paid for the billboard, or raised money for it, and the Patriots certainly would not participate in something like that. Ever.

So this is one national business responsible for it... not even just a Boston-based thing. Which struck me as odd. Don't they also have billboards down in Maryland?

They obviously did it for the publicity. Success there.

But they in no way "speak" for the team, Patriots fans, etc. This is just like the Dan Shaughnessy article about the Texans last week. No like-y.

I don't know, I think the Broncos got ahead of themselves more than anybody. The Seahawks second, all you ever heard about was how both of them were going to the Super Bowl.

Right, even Manning admitted they were "planning to play next week" in the postgame news conference. So not his style.

    • Happy Draft Day to the folks who are in Indiana! (And east coast) lol. If this actually happens today I don’t know what I would do. Pipe dream or not, I’m READY for this draft to start!
    • Ok, just so I'm reading it right.  You are saying that I responded to another poster by mentioning RG in passing, as a means to bait a lurking you into starting a debate about RG vs CB, for which you feel justified doing because I mentioned RG and Luck's history.   Why don't you just stick to the possibilities of why Ballard might want to draft an olineman high?  That's what I did.
    • Its not even a serious counter, because there was never a tie in made that suggested his injuries were caused by a porous oline in the first place.  That was a tie in made to try tp point out Moose was wrong, when he didn't even tie the two together.  They were separate sentences.   Built into the idea that AR should be protected better is the appearance that AR may be fragile, based upon the situations behind his injuries.  AR was injured.  Ballard may want to protect him better.  The issue of possible fragility is built into it, IMO. is how I read Mooses comments.  Not that it was because of the level of oline protection.
    • Kirk did have the Vikings at the top of the division in the 2022 season at 13-4. He was injured last year. Oh well have fun with your new QB.    You act like I don't know Vikings football, comical because I like the team and follow them a lot. You and @NFLfansay Kirk doesn't know situational football. In 2022 he was the best situational QB in the league. Vikings were 11-0 in games decided by 3 points or less. It is because Kirk handled most situations right. You don't go 11-0 in games 3 points or less and not be a smart QB.
    • Maybe I am the one who will end up with egg on his face but I just don’t get why people think the Colts are actually going to draft an olineman with their first pick.  Nelson and Kelly returned to their pro-bowl playing status.  Raimann looks to be a very good young left tackle and the Colts have made it pretty clear they see Smith as one of the most underrated tackles in football.  They aren’t drafting a right guard in the first round, Nelson was exception, and even then Fries held his own at right guard last year.  They aren’t going to draft a guy who isn’t going to start next year either in the first round.  The starting oline is probably the least of their worries going into this draft.
