I have never made a topic like this so please be easy on me. With good cap space and the draft we are in position to improve this team in weak or aging areas. The free agency wishlist are players I believe we will look hard at.  I added alternate picks also because FA will change the strategy of the draft a bit. Also I only went 4 rounds because after that I believe its BPA.

Free Agency wish list

OLB Anthony Spencer- I don't think Freeney will be back with the team this year and I can see us attaining Spencer to fill that spot.

 

G Andy Levitre-  Oline in my opinion is our biggest need.  Getting at least one interior lineman will be crucial this off season.

 

CB Brent Grimes- The Colts need a solid corner opposite of Davis.  Grimes is coming of a torn Achilles but if healthy would be a great pickup.

 

SS Dashon Gholston- We could definitely use a difference maker at safety and this man is one of them.

 

G Louis Vasquez- Another interior line this team really needs

 

DT/DE Henry Melton-  Very athletic lineman that I believe could be a very good 3/4 DE

 

S William Moore-  Another play maker in the secondary

 

 

Draft

1st SS Matt Elam- He has the size and athletic ability to be a very good SS in the NFL.  Having a guy like him help the run and pass defense. Alternate pick Johnathon Cooper Guard, If we acquire a SS in FA we can go right after a lineman here

 

3rd G Larry Worford- Here is where we get another interior lineman.  He is a huge man and a road grader.  Getting 2 guards in the offseason will greatly help the running game and protect Luck. Alternate pick OLB Sean Porter, With Freeney gone and if we miss out on Spencer then this is the pick.  Getting a young pass rushing OLB would make a big difference to the defense and this kid has been compared athletically to Von Miller

 

4th S Bacarri Rambo, G Alvin Bailey, or DE Malliciah Goodman

Nothing at all wrong with that list of players, USAF. I definitely like the approach of addressing the OG position thru both the draft and free agency....and we sure need the secondary help you noted as well.

 

Out of your FA list....if we're able to add Levitre, Spencer, Moore and perhaps one of the CBs I'd like to see us target, Cary WIlliams....I'd consider those to be excellent steps in upgrading those positions.

 

Your draft day selections are solid too...although if he's on the board I'm partial toward OG Chance Warmack in round one, especially after last night's display. He destroyed his man and showed excellent power and second-level mobility.

 

It's an exciting time....we are well-positioned to really improve the team....thru both avenues for a change.

I would be all over Warmack but I just dont think he will be there.  That man will be a Pro Bowl guard one day

like it, but how you figure we can get all the FA ? or were you just listing them for ones you would
like, if so which 3 or 4 would you take?

I would add Arvill and Jones to the list for us to pick from... I think there is a good chance we get Spencer and Arvill ( if he isn't too much ) they both went to Purdue and Grigs did too
