Vick Ballard "Poor man's Edgerin James"

Nice little write up and wonderful comparison to Edge in my opinion.  32 was one of the best rb i have ever seen who was wearing :coltshelmet:

"He's powerful," Arians said this week, according to NFL.com's Jeff Darlington. "He's a poor man's Edge (Edgerrin James). He's bowlegged like Edge and he's about the same size, and tough to bring down.

I like Ballard, but I don't see him as a game breaker. He's consistant and a hard runner with good vision, but not someone that I can see break out with many big runs. His longest is 26 yards.

How many of those big runs did we see against us this year? MJD had a huge run against us and so did Jamaal Charles. Heck, so did Bernard Pierce, Foster, Hillis, and  the unknown RB from Green Bay.

It would be nice to have a game breaking long run every once in a while to help take the pressure off of Luck and the offense. This is where we miss Brown.

I like Vic. Pretty sad veteran Moore couldn`t be trusted to run 8-10 times. Vic was worn out at the end.

With one RB we couldn`t do the hurry up. Ouch.

Ballard, runs like a brother, blocks like your mother. His lack of blocking was a killer Sunday. He just stood there, Clueless.

Year two will be Goooood tho. Practice Iverson! Cause its the "little things".

Think someone hit the nail on the head, the guy's been doing it all by himself after the injury plague to our RBs (I can't include Moore as a legit back :P). He'll never be a true number 1 RB in the traditional sense but he's certainly a very good asset to have. 800+ yards for a round 5 pick with this O-line? None too shabby at all.
