Silly home game hostings like an 8-8 hosting a 12-4? If so, how?
Should the NFL's playoff structure be changed to prevent

Yep, division winners should host and Conference winners should have a bye

There has to be some reward involved with winning the division.
If anything I'd expand the # of teams as discussed in another thread, but I believe division champs should play at home as opposed to playing on the road.

absolutely not. you win your division you host in the post season
division rivalries are a big part of what makes the nfl great. changing the system would diminish that fact

Yeah, like when the colts had to face an 8-8 chargers team on the road even though they won the head to head match up.

Won the head to head IN San Diego, no less. Then we went to SD again in the playoffs and lost.
The Chargers really were our kryptonite matchup personnel wise. Let alone all the boneheaded penalties/ints/fumbles/special teams blunders/SPROLES and mass of stupidity that always happened on top of that.
Heck one game Peyton threw like SIX INT's, and we STILL could have won only to watch Vinny shank like a 22 yard game winning field goal. Just awful.
On the plus side, Peyton has a team that doesn't match up horribly against them now and can make them his "female dog" for the next four seasons. Rivers wanted to see Manning more? He got it. Hope he enjoys wild card at best.
