Your driveway.

I'm currently looking at about 8" in my drive. Going on an hour and a half. Just did the middle part.

So, how long did it take you guys?

Seriously man...    a snow blower will cost you about $400 min, and quality just increases with price.

 

A quad with a a blade is the best in a suburb area.

 

Or you could own a Kabota B like me ...  and just destroy the snow.

 

Or. put a blade on your truck and drag the drive...   takes all of 15 seconds.  

 

....  or pay someone....       to heck with a shovel in the winter.

by the way it took me about 5 seconds to back out in my Lesabre...   hhehe...

Just bought the house in Nov. winters had been so mild lately I didn't even think about buying a blower. Prob pony up and get a blade when I buy a new mower.

Only 8? Bloomington was hit hard around 11-12+ in. On the bright side there should be some good snowboarding at Perfect North and Paoli Peaks!

still not done bad back and 1 arm makes it difficult.tried to catch a couple kids with shovels going by seemed to miss them or less kids shovel these days.

I spent about an hour to hour and a half for 100 foot drive.  Did it twice so didn't have full depth to work with.  Maybe 6-7 inches total here.   I stopped at Lowes on Monday,  bought an small electric blower made by WORX,  already had enough extension cords.  Blower was about $240 with tax,  actually did a great job.   Getting too darn old for shoveling.  Takes up less space for storage as we don't seem to need a whole lot of times.   Don't need to worry about gas can being empty,  just hope the power stays on.

I don't know.  We shoveled three times yesterday.  Didn't want it to get too deep.

I didn't mind.  Felt good to be outside and exercising

My husband shoveled when I was at work, so don't know how long it took. We got 5 inches here in Ft. Wayne, the snow wasn't real bad but the roads were treacherous and we had strong winds.

I shoveled tracks for the truck (Did not really need to....but did anyway......)

 

I was checking email and my new neighbor rang the doorbell.  He has a MONSTER snowblower.....was done in 15 minutes and the mailbox too.  I was thankful because we have a steep driveway.....and it was 'falling down' slick.

 

Thanks to Bob....all I put down was some salt....Can you say "Thank you Sir?  A Kroger gift certificate is coming to a pocket near you?"      !!!!!!!!!

Here is Sunny but Cold (ha ha yeah right) CA I don't get snow.  I have to drive to the mountains, it doesn't come to me:(  I miss indiana winters.  I know you all think i'm crazy but the last time I lived in a state where it snowed was over 10yrs ago.

 

I could see how it would get old.  When I used to live in IN, I lived down a hill so when it got really bad we had to  park on top the hill and have to walk up the hill in the morning just to get to the cars.  I lived about 1/4 of a mile away from the road.  so it wasn't fun with anything more than 2 or 3 inches. . . .
