This team reminds me of one from the past...lets see if they can keep it going

I was waiting until we clinched the 5th seed to start this thread.

This season since the Packers game (which sort of reminded me of the 1995 home win over Steve Young's 49ers) has eerily reminded me of 1995 and those 5th seeded Colts let by Jim Harbaugh. Between the low expectations heading into the year, the comeback wins and just everything.....

There is no logic to how we win at times. But, we often find ways to win.

It reminds me of the season we won the super remember the late game against the Jags where they ran for tons of yards and killed us.

No way for me. The 2005 Colts were awesome but fell short to a veteran Steelers squad. The 2006 Colts just needed to shore up the run D which they did in time, thank God. But, the 2006 Colts offense was a machine. We are not even close to that.

We are a helter skelter team living on a prayer at times, from week to week. It often works though but who knows if it will work in the playoffs?

But, this team is not a fluke either IMO. They have a foundation set for the future and will become very very good.

This season though it a magical one. I don't know how we often win but we do. I will never forget this year no matter how it ends. We are ahead of where we probably should be but the team has a mission to win this year too and is truly a TEAM.

That's true.  Other than the Chiefs being the Chiefs, there is no reason we should have won today's game.  But they did.  The Chiefs failing on the QB sneak pretty much let you know it was meant to be.

I have not really bothered trying to analyze this team a lot this year. Like the matchups. Sure this RB might gash us, or this pass rusher might kill Luck at times, or this QB will throw for x number of yards and we can't cover his TEs.

Unless the game gets out of hand like it has a few times on the road I usually think we will pull it off.

I remember this clip from Harbaugh when it came to the 1995 season and he said something like, "I didn't know how we would win but we WOULD find a way to win."

Like I said in the playoffs I don't know if this formula will work. But, it is not impossible either that a few teams will choke vs. us too under all the pressure.

A lot can happen in a one game elimination set up in the NFL. One and done......

The pressure isn't on us. Out of all the AFC playoff teams our window is the largest for the future outside of maybe the Bengals.

It reminds me of the 07 Giants. Especially going into this last game. I think if we win or lose close this week, we could beat the Texans in the playoffs. As long as we get passed whoever we end up playing in the Wild Card, we have a shot. This team has proven if kept close, we can win on a final drive.
