If tebow comes to the Jags next year

plus I bet he'd love to stick it to the broncos twice a year haha

That might be his reason for going there, but I would expect him to be the "stickee".

In fact as a Colts fan who is following the Broncos, KC would be right next to Jacksonville as a highly desireable destination in my book. But of course both teams are already terrible. The fantasy would be for someone in either the Texans or Chargers organizations to lose faith in their QBs, and bring Tebow in to destroy the organization change things up.

Actually that seems within the realm of possibilities in SD as major upheaval seems inevitable.

Serious trouble, he is the wind beneath his wings, he is the dark knight that rises. He is Mario and Luigi, his abs glisten in the rain like a waterfall drifting over giant perfectly carved rocks on top of a mountain. He is the Richard to his Simmons, The Best of the Best 3.

Tim Tebow was bit by a thousand King Cobras, two hours later in excruciating pain, those King Cobras died.

Yes, it would be over. It would be over for the NFL with Tebow and Blackmon. Mutiple superbowl titles in a row with ease as they steamroll their opponents by triple digit victories.

Not only should the NFL be taken by storm, cowering in fear that Tebow joined the Jags, but so should the entire world.

PS

Just my two cents

 Does he also drink Dos Equis? Considering that he looks very much like he is "bowling overhand" when he tries to pass, this is all starting to make sense to me.

I don't feel sorry for mant pro athletes but I do for Tebow. The worst thing that could have happened to him was to go to New York, Sanchez or no Sanchez. I don't like the east coast fans like Boston, Philly and NY because I'm too midwest farmboy type, like Tebow. He is in my opinion washed up and was when he left Denver. His story is simple, he is not a QB but was drafted as one.

While I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY with your last sentence, I don't feel sorry for Tebow. He very much brings this on himself. I'm quite sure that he wanted to play in New York for exactly the same reason that he refuses to consider playing any position other than quarterback. He is looking for as much attention as humanly possible. Granted, he claims that he does so to generate money to help others (and I have no basis for disputing the claim - he certainly is known for his charitable work and is openly admired by many who know him). However we are talking about football here. The fact is that any reasonable person with his skill set coming out of college would have allowed himself to be developed as a tight end or running back. Let him throw the occasional option pass if you want - if it surprises the other team the receiver might just be wide open enough for it to work occasionally. But it isn't about football with him. That's the very reason that many adore him, and the same reason that many would be happy if they never heard his name again.

Uh, because he's not a quarterback. The Broncos only kept him on because of the circus that developed around him. They didn't dump him because of Manning, they SOUGHT Manning because Tebow. Ryan was apparently forced to accept Tebow on the team, but at least he was smart enough not to open the door to the clown car.

If Tebow isn't a QB, what's Sanchez??

At least if he can't throw, Tebow can run. Sanchez offers nothing except a body to hike the ball to.

Sanchez is lousy. I'm not defending him. In fact I've ridiculed him for as long as I've been posting here. I live in the NY area, and have to listen as the team presents him as a franchise quarterback. It's just delusional.

The problem with the Jets isn't that they won't play Tebow, it's that they are so incompetent that they thought it was a good thing to trade for Tebow in the first place. But heck, it got them some back-page coverage and sold some tickets.

Not to mention trading UP to get Sanchez in the first place - primary claim to fame in college: being nowhere near as successful as Leinart. That's just a fantastic recommendation - but of course the ladies like him. Heck, that got them some back-page coverage and sold some tickets.

Not to mention picking up Favre. Indescribably bad fit as any novice fan could deduce in advance, but heck, that got them some back-page coverage and sold some tickets.

Not to mention hiring an unqualified blow-hard coach. Yes, he knows a thing or two about defense, but if you can't figure out during the interview process that he lacks the management skills needed to run a team, and the mouth filter needed to represent a team, than you get what you deserve. Or perhaps want. But heck, that got them some back-page coverage and sold some tickets.

I would be simply embarrassed if I was a Jets fan right now. The one thing that Ryan has done right at this point is to decide to use the time left this season to evaluate their backup. Playing Sanchez OR Tebow is just a waste of time.

Well if you're being objective, Tebow hasnt shown he cant be a qb. The only reason people say he cant be a qb is because of his low completion percentage, but if we're being fair, our boy Luck is at the very botton of the completion percentage charts. We all think Luck will improve with exp, same should be thought with tebow. Both guys also have shown to have an early clutch gene. In terms of being a qb, Tebow's faith should be removed and his skills should be looked at objectively.

I'd love for someone (other than Houston) to give him a chance to be an NFL QB.

I've heard all the, "He's not an NFL QB." stuff, but my eyeball tells me that's not entirely correct. Yes he needed some help from a stout Denver defense, but he won 8 games for the Broncos, making some hellacious throws to do it & he beat the Steelers in the play-offs, & I believe that was the #1 defense in the league.

Is he prototypical? No. Is he perfect? No.

But some people gave Sanchez 4 years before they figured out he's not an NFL Starting QB. Blain Gabbert got a year & change. John Skelton started more games in 2012 than Tebow. Brady Quin started a few games in 2012..... I mean there are some bad QBs in this league & Tebow is more deserving a start than many of them.

Problem is folks like Bill Polian (other GM's too?) feel that the kind of offensive tailored to Tebow is not a winning offense in the NFL these days. Right or wrong, that is the jist of it. Does Tebow run as well as Newton or Griffin? Can he pass as well them?  These things get looked at. I heard Tebow put on weight, and is even slower now.  Never really elusive before, now he must truly truck people to gain ground.

Tebow has been the center of attention since his days at Florida. He doesn't ask for the attention, that goes against all he believes and how humble he is. I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to be a quarterback.

Because with Cam and RG3 you have the threat of a pass.

This is true.  You could still execute some run options though.  Play action to one guy, then pitch option with Tebow and another RB.  Tebow and MJD would probably be the most difficult running duo to tackle in the league.  Both guys are huge

The offense that took Sanchize to back to back AFC Championship games would be perfect for Tim Tebow. That's probably why he chose New York over Jacksonville.

Some reports coming out on this

And @mortreport reports it's "a virtual certainty" that Tim Tebow will play in 2013 for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

ESPN report that Tebow is a "virtual certainty" to play for the Jaguars in 2013 is a sign that the owner is making personnel decisions.

I hope so, that's 2 games a year the

colt's should win easy. Tebow can't even beat out Mc Elroy and Sanchez. That says something. And the Broncos obviously could have lived without him. He's bad, that lucky run last year, with the worst stats of a starting QB in league history , and an opportune defense, will not happen again. I would think the smart Jag fans are about to jump ship after reading that.

That isn't even true in the least. Denver was dead in the water until Tebow came in. I'm also pretty sure Tebow beat the best defense in the league last year in the playoffs. Tebow isn't starting for the Jets due to several reasons:

1 - Rex Ryan is a fat, loudmouth, brainless *.

2 - Sanchez is throwing fits and that's why he's probably getting traded.

3 - For whatever reason, Ryan doesn't like Tebow. Probably because he ended their playoff hopes last season with that win.

4 - I guess buttfumble isn't enough of a reason to bench Sanchez for Timmy. I know McElroy is starting, but that doesn't mean anything.

5 - Tebow has been hurt with some broken ribs, but should be able to play now.

If he really is going to Jacksonville, he will compliment MJD very well.

I've been thinking this as well. There really is no other reason for Ryan not to have played Tebow this season. Sanchez has been terrible and McElroy is not proven at all in this league. I look forward to Tebow coming to the Jaguars. He'll make games against them more competitve and fun to watch at least.

While Tebow was in Denver, I nearly bought a jersey. After I saw he was going to the Jets I couldn't stomach the idea of having one. It'll be even harder now since he will be in the AFC South as an opponent twice a year. :/

Lol I know right. Time to go digging through old Bronco gear and hoping that there are still some 15 jerseys left hahaha. I'm just glad he's going to a team that I don't dislike, but I'm still not getting a Jaguars jersey lol. He's going to bring some of the attention back to the South that Manning took with him to the West.

Sanchez has a fully guaranteed 8.5 million dollar contract next season. There is no other team dumb enough to pay that kind of money for a 3rd string QB, and lets face it, that is exactly what he is....a 3rd string QB. Maybe if the Jets agree to pay 90% of the contract just to get him out of New York, he could be traded, but thats the only way.

They talk like he is possibly on his way out. If they can't trade him, then they'll just cut him and eat that 8.5 million. There isn't a plethora of great QB's in this years draft, so unless they plan on going after Matt Barkley (lol), they'll be stuck with McElroy and Sanchez all season. McElroy played in a pro style system at Alabama, so I'd say he could take them leaps and bounds further than Sanchez ever could.

Reality check, Tebow is NOT good, and you are not smarter than an NFL coach . There is not a vendetta against the man, he just isn't NFL material.  I hope he is healthy, and playing for the Jags next year , that's pretty much 2 wins right there. Tebow did nothing special for the Broncos, they had  shutdown defense and his stats and their point total were pathetic , but somehow thanks to this lucky run, guys like you think he can play. Maybe in the CFL. If MJD likes to win, he will demand to be traded. don't know if you have noticed, but the actual players in the league say Tebow stinks, most overrated, etc. He completes less than 50 percent of his passes and averages .5 TD passes a game . This isn't college.

Oh, okay. I guess that Tebow coming in didn't do anything for the Broncos then? If that's true then why was Kyle Orton replaced with Tebow? Does that mean Orton is worse than Tebow? Reality check for you. Tebow was the 2nd string QB only being used for Wildcat that doesn't work anymore.

I don't pay attention to what ANYTHING that ANYONE playing for the New York Jets has to say. You take anything the Jets players and organizations say with SEVERAL truck-loads of salt. If you truly think all of that, then you have mental issues.

Tim isn't a normal QB. But he's proven himself. He was told he would never be a winning QB in the NFL, well he became one within a season, and led the team to a playoff victory! His deserive outweighs most other QB's physical traits. He is a winner because of his aspirations. I'm a proud Tebow fan, because of the person he is, and how exciting he is to watch! He's inspired me to reach for my dreams.

We all know the current NFL is  today a throwing game. Now listen carefully.........Tebow cannot throw the ball! Why you ask>?! Because he does not know how. If the Jags pick him up they will dump him before the season starts. Why would anyone invest in a person in a league that has the current caliber of QB there are today i.e., SF, Indy, New England, Seattle, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, New Orleans, Dallas. The only reason Tebow is still wearing a uniform is he is considered a great guy. Elway knew Denver screwed up when he saw him throw in practice and that is a documented fact.

The only thing he proved was that a team had to change an NFL traditional offense CONSIDERABLY in order to win with him. Tebow's playoff victory is his saving grace and inflated the well being of that Broncos team outside the QB position, serves as ammunition for the biggest knock on the Steelers' D, and for several other things. I still cannot believe Dick LeBeau played him that way after seeing Belichick demolish him earlier in the regular season showing the league how to beat Tebow easily. Belichick's win also set off a 3 loss streak for Tebow before that playoff win. If you force him to play anything close to a conventional style, he is toast.

Chalk it up next to the music city miracle. At least the Titans did something with it in the playoffs.

He is a great teammate and all, but he is a terrible conventional QB. NFL teams are not going to devalue their passing game and weapons considerably to accomodate him, he is not a long term solution for any team at QB. He needs to play FB.

    • Any chance we take a OT with the 1st pick?
    • FWIW:   Today I listened to a guy from The Athletic interviewed on ESPN.   (Darren Lee). He said interviewing GMs at the combine, almost all view DeJean as a safety except two teams.  He thinks the Colts and Jags view DeJean as a corner.     I don’t know this reporter, never seen him before, so I can’t speak to his credibility.  But it sounds like he did a lot of homework.     And I appreciate your view on pro day times being reliable or not.   I’m always skeptical on pro days.  But I thought DeJean helped himself on his testing.
    • I could care less what he does. Been too long ago.
    • I’m with ya..     I'm not sure we’re going WR at 15 either.  I think we could go DE, and it’s possible we could go CB as well.   Gosh,  I love Mitchell and really like Arnold as well.  And if we trade back I would be fine with McKinstry or a DE on defense or one of the 2nd tier of WRs that could be there in the 20’s.  So many options.   I keep reminding myself, every pick could produce a surprise, because I think Ballard will have so many options to choose from.      Im also not sure Ballard will use all 7 rounds.   He finished in 5 rounds in his first draft 2017,  and he finished in 6 rounds in 2019.   Maybe he uses all 7 rounds, but I’m not confident we will.     One week from tonight.
    • My Final Mock Draft   15. Brock Bowers, TE,  6’4 245 Lbs, Georgia - Blue Chip Prospect.  Rare combination of acceleration, speed and body control. Hands-catcher operating with good coordination and technique. With Pittman on the outside Bowers will control the middle of the field and seams. AR Will develop much quicker into a top 10 QB with Bowers as his TE.  46. TJ Tampa, CB, 6’1, 190 Lbs, Iowa State - Elite physical traits. Plays with good positioning throughout routes. Very good in press Coverage and Zone. Expect him to compete in training camp and be named a starter.      82. Calen Bullock, S, 6’2 190 lbs, USC - Elite physical traits. He has the range to play single-high safety, the athleticism to line up over the slot and the ball skills to chalk up impressive on-ball production. Expect him to compete in training camp for the starting S position.    117. Tez Walker,  WR,  6’2 195 Lbs, UNC - Elite speed with very good body control. Career average of 30.7 yards on touchdown receptions. Gives us very good depth and competition with Pierce.    151. Grayson Murphy, DE, 6’3 260 Lbs, UCLA - Shows impressive quickness and change of direction to help turn speed to power as a rusher. Good depth.    191.  Keaton Bills, G, 6’5 320 Lbs, Utah - Cerebral player, quick to react to twists and stunts up front. Very good depth.
