HERE'S WHO I WANT, & BELIEVE WE CAN GET

Free Agents:

90534134_display_image.jpg?1286231006shields.jpg

Louis Vasquez - Offensive Guard (sorely underrated) Sam Sheilds - Cornerback (4.3 40 time)

After Sheilds, forget the other free agent DB's, their are some awesome draft prospects waiting to be picked up.

2013 NFL Draft:

6_685960.jpg

John Jenkins - (Young Casey Hampton...)

1kcx85.Em.56.jpegncf_g_lbell_dj_600.jpg

Xavier Rhodes - (Better than Milliner, yes i said it) Le'Veon Bell - (6'1, 244, 4.5 40 time)

49922407.jpg

(Miami's #26) - This guy is on my wish & prayer list. If we don't draft, or sign any other Cornerbacks or Saftey's,....

WE HAVE TO DRAFT THIS GUY!!!!

RAY ARMSTRONG is not a bad kid, and didn't get in trouble with drugs, or gang violence. He was seduced by Nelvin Shapiro, at a time when most college kids are financially challenged. It happens in everyone major college program, he just managed to get caught. We let Taylor Mays (6'3 230) get buy us, what's gonna happen this time? BTW - Ray Armstrong (6'4!!! 220, 4.4 time and can cover Cal J, Andre J,Larry F, and A.J. G!!! It's our turn to the BIG SAFTEY, again!!! (I hope Grigson reads this post)

OK....    I confess I don't get the Taylor Mays reference.    We let him get by us?

Mays is one of the biggest draft busts in recent years.   Shouldn't we be happy we didn't take him?     Why lament over what we're glad didn't happen?

Still not having any luck with the new software fix...   and I've cleaned out my cache...

I swear you people act like I said I wanted him first overall, or above anyone else. This is a thread about who each of us personally would like to see on the team. I also said if he is available 4-6th rounds, why not take a flyer...

I stated many times that we need OL help first and foremost, and we have other needs as well...DL, secondary...etc...We are over 35 mil in cap space, so some will be addressed by FA . We always need depth at all positions, just like any other team...

Another reason I stated why not take a shot in a later round if he's still available...is look at our RB situation right now..Brown's been hurt for a lot of the season...when he's in he's a very good back...Ballard is playing so well, but the season is taking its toll..Carter is hurt, and has a great tendency to fumble, hence him getting benched for a lot of the year..We had to pick up Karim this week just to have some kind of back up...This doesn't bode well for us in the upcoming weeks, with us heading into the playoffs..So why not take a flyer on a mid round pick if he's available...I'm not saying we have to...its something I wouldn't mind seeing...

Like I said..I wouldn't mind seeing him in Colt Blue..will it happen, probably not..Its just something I personally wouldn't mind seeing...which is what the title of this thread is all about..its no skin off my back if we do or we don't...

If we could pick Peyton Hillis up for cheap, I wouldn't mind if we got rid of Carter. I'd love to have a big bruiser like him in the mix with Ballard and Brown. Hillis is still young too.

I have always liked Hillis

Yeah in that Chiefs game he was making us look like we still had the itty bitty committee on defense! Guys were jumping all over his back and he was still getting first downs. I think he'd go good in our backfield in short yardage and goal line. I think he will be a free agent next year. I don't think he'll cost a whole lot either.

I like Hillis too...   tough, tough guy to bring down.

The problem is he really, really wants to be the featured back and he wants to be paid like one.

And, he reportedly is not a good guy in the clubhouse if he's not happy with his contract.

Cleveland's Joe Thomas publicly ripped Hillis about 4-6 weeks ago over Hillis' last year in Cleveland when he was having on-going contract drama with the Browns.

Cleveland's got lots and lots of issues.   Maybe they keep him and continue to pair him with Charles as a Thunder and Lightening backfield.    Sure worked to perfection against us!!    :omg:     -omg-     :beg:

LO FREAKING L.

If Armstrong can cover those guys he'd go in the top 5. This bias is really hurting my eyes.

I like the Leveon Bell pick. I was suggesting Peyton Hillis as a bruiser back earlier, but the Bell suggestion might be better and cheaper overall. Plus it's got a nice ring to it! Ballard, Brown, and Bell. BBB, Better Business Bureau

1.Not sure why Freeman is benched for Conner

2.Not sure Brown would be benched for Ballard unless Brown proves to not be healthy come next season

3.I dont think there is any chance we get Bowe, when the problem is Cassel can not stay healthy, they dont have a WR thats shown up in the NFL besides Bowe

4.Porter is just to undersized for me

I'd rather see us spend money elsewhere then on Bowe.  Nothing against Bowe.  We should draft a receiver in the mid to late rounds or go with someone cheap in free agency.

Overall I think we need 4 backs just like we had this year, but the 2 that go along with Ballard and Brown need to be more talented. One I think needs to be a bruiser like Bell, and the other one should also be a scat back similar to Brown, but more of a depth player.

I like this guy as the potential 4th scat back. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he turned out better than Ballard

I know most Colts fan seem to think we're going to say goodbye to most of our free agents.

I don't think that's the case.

I think a fair chunk of our $47 Million is going to go to re-sign some of our own players, as unpopular as that may be with some fans.

But...    if you preach 'team' as Pagano/Grigson/Irsay/Arians have been preaching, and then you don't re-sign many of the players who helped with this great season,  it under cuts the message.

I'm not saying we'll re-sign all of our FA's.   But more than most here are predicting.

Just my two cents....

I wouldn't mind picking Anthony Spencer up in FA, Indy guy and plays the run really well but still gets to the QB.

Dudes, obviously, Te'o is out of reach. so i would go offensive line or safety. O-lines are deep in free agency and 'in Grigs we trust' and boy does he deserve it! so that leaves secondary= Eric Reid. he might be available by the upper twentys draft (four months ago i wouldve been wishful thinking to pick that low in the draft! AHAA!!) Reid is a ballhawk and he was a Team oriented player and his team (LSU) loved him and looked upto him. Character is always important. If we go O-line with the first pick then i would say Barrett Jones, definantly. we should later look at S Shawn williams and DE Margus Hunt. i pray we resign Fili Moala. The F/A is too deep and we are too rich in cap to ignore a playmaking outside linebacker. I vote for Cliff Avril. he can move in any direction with a quickness and he would spell Mathis.

If we could draft barrett Jones and somehow find a way to get DeCastro from Pittsburgh(they werent too high on him before his injury) and then get Vollmer in F/A then WOW what a Line!! Keep shipley at C and give him something to be proud of for once, he will do great for years to come. Draft: 1st pick= S Reid or G Jones

3rd Pick= S shawn Williams or OLB Chase Thomas

                                                 4th pick= DE Margus Hunt
