With the injuries to Big Ben and Byron Leftwich former NE backup signal caller Brian Hoyer has been tabbed as the new backup QB for the Steelers.

Why are they avoiding Charlie Batch? He is their QB, and went like 3-1 when Ben was suspended two seasons ago.
