Josh Chapman is activated. Drake Nevis and Jerraud Power are placed on IR, Kyle Miller elevated from PS to active roster.

I reckon that'll be the last we see of Powers here in Indy. Nice to see Chapman activated.

There's no further info on Nevis and Powers... Seems like they didn't meet FO's expectations.

A little surprising, but I'm happy with Davis and Butler as starting corners.

Really struggled to stay healthy his entire career. Good player, good tackler. Doesn't seem to fit in the 3-4, man coverage defense.

Very intersting...a vet center says the guy's good....then maybe he can really play....he has to reason to talk up a rookie

Is anyone really surprised that Powers didn't finish the season? If so, is that rock you're living under very heavy?

I'm ok with a trio of Davis, Butler and Gordy. I don't care for Vaughn. But man we're thin at CB right now.

Lot of potential. Tough kid. Definitely a hard position to learn. Don't expect miracles.

I'd bring him back as 3rd or 4th corner on the cheap. Other then that, no. He wasn't playing well anyway and he's never lasted a full season.

It's a toe. The specifics aren't out there, but it must be pretty bad to be put on IR.

Leaving us with a round total of zero corners left over from 2011. Powers wasn't very good this year so I'm not crying over it...

Nevis was a good piece in our rotation. Doubt if he is back next year, too short.
Powers might be a nickle next year for the right $$, but I think they would be looking for someone better.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Chapman holding ground and getting off some blocks.

very excited to see chapman activated but sucks about nevis. I thought he was playing pretty well. Hopefully he can come back healthy next season and get one more chance so long as his cap hit isn't too high for taking that risk. As for powers, he's played fairly well for us but I have had my doubts as to whether he was suited for this type of defense. He was scouted and drafted to play in the cover 2/tampa 2 defense of the old regime. That doesn't mean much to me in regards to guys in the front 7, but when it comes to coverage guys that means quite a bit. I still expect the colts to make a hard push for rodgers-cromartie in free agency but I'm very interested to see how Bulter can do for the remainder of the season.

The meaning of the word "irony" seems to be lost on some. :)

Thanks..I'm not bashing him..I just know little about him....

..again...a vet has no reason to talk up a rookie unless he can do something...and we need a run-stopper. Alabama? He's played pro already :goodluck:

hopefully you cant hide from the intensified Tide...

OK: Today is a new day. I went to a blood draw yesterday on a fasting blood draw. I did what I was told as usual and they could not draw blood. I drank 3 cups of water, sat 30 minutes...still no blood? I found out a couple of weeks ago I was heartless...now bloodless? I guess we have proven what we have known all along!! :)
