He is the kind of speed the whole offense lacks..

problem with him is he is all speed and inconsistent at best hands, can be electrifying but has no hands to speak of and seemingly not the brightest crown in the box when it comes to field awareness as he did get away with releasing the ball before it crossed the End Zone on his punt return today, Intriguing because of his speed no question though

He didnt exactly score on that Punt Return as impressive (and then laughable) as it was. sure he is a speed demon but Ill wait to see him produce before I begin to think he is a lethal weapon. speed wise he is lethal no question, not sold on his hands though. and being that he is a Punt Returner or Kick Returner he is more easily avoided

You may be missing the forest for the trees here........he's run back two kicks for TDs in 2 weeks..who else does?

That dude is definitely a special teams weapon, but he scares me with the way he takes care of the football. He's a fumble waiting to happen at the wrong time in a big game. If he can take care of that issue, i'd definitely say he's the real deal. I don't see him as a very good receiver though. Maybe for a play or two.

Agreed. After his first game debacle, I thought no wonder Houston cut him, but some people including John Elway preached patience. When he has the ball, he is amazing. Our special team was good but our returners lacked speed until now. I don't see him as a receiver material but he could be good for trick plays/decoy. Throw a screen to him, he would be dangerous that way assuming the QB doesnt over throw him, and teams could avoid him just by kicking a Punt out of bounds, not sure why thats not done more often, it would eliminate him almost completely from the game

a screen to Hillman in space is one reason he was drated, hes bigger and stronger than Holiday though not a big strong back,

Name wise, he hasn't gotten on the level of Devin Hester. As the season moves along, people will start to do what you are suggesting on special teams to avoid him running one back. As far as screens are concerned, I don't think we have to worry about #18 throwing it over his head. You know he'll put it on the money!

The NFL says the 76-yard punt return by Denver's Trindon Holliday against Carolina on Sunday should have been ruled a touchback, not a touchdown.

Broncos' returner raced up the sidelines and appeared to score. Replays showed Holliday prematurely celebrating the TD by flipping the ball out of his hands before crossing the goal line.

Replay official Bob Boylston confirmed the touchdown and, as a result, referee Alberto Riveron did not stop the game for an instant replay review.

The NFL said Monday in a statement "Boylston should have stopped the game to initiate an instant replay review" and "the result of the play should have been a touchback—not a touchdown—with Carolina gaining possession at the 20 yard-line.

"He's got full instructions from Jeff Rodgers, our Special Teams Coach, to bring the ball all the way back to him," Fox said. "Bring it to the sideline, hand it to your coach."

That comes as a result of Holliday dropping the ball before crossing the goal line, as the NFL confirmed on Monday in admittance to the officials' mistake.

After the game, Holliday said he wasn't sure if he crossed the goal line without the ball, but he was already aware of the new rule

He is amazing but he does fumble a lot. He's only lost one fortunately for us, but I'm sure he stresses John Fox. I wonder if he is allowed to return in the post season if his ankle is healed. He is scary, both good and bad.

u r correct, & I think he may have besides being small so can fumble from hit , he has some hand eye coordination issues, all i know is the first 2 with Broncos & the last one  especially  as is still vivid in mind when hurt ankle trying to recover it, well no one near him, ball coming down for easy catch, he puts hands out waiting for it never taking eye off ball, and ball just touches finger tips and gets loose

 

Still must admit itss like feast or fanmon, in a playoff u cant lose the ball like that against a quality team

I actually think he'd be a top slot receiver..I hope they're working with him in that respect

Stokley may retire after this season..

This guy was 2nd in the nation inpunt retunrs at LSU and he was the 100-meyer dash champion of the SEC...


They'd be crazy not to find a way to use that speed from scrimmage
