“There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man ... a
dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the
middle ground between light and shadow, between science and
superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit
of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.” - Rod Sterling

I will delete this when the new Colts win a Super Bowl.

If all those players are gone, then I wouldnt mind the best safety available like Vacarro or Elam possibly after a trade down.

I know DeCastro lasted until #24 last year. But each draft is different. And that draft had a lot of top tier talent (Luck, RG3, Richardson, Kalil) there's none of that this year.
Plus, you've got lots of players at downgraded positions who are ranked in the top 10-15 of the draft. (Loutulele, Hankins, Jenkins, Te'o, Warmack) that means those players are grading out higher than the players at the more desired positions.
That tells me this is not a very good draft, and so teams will take the best player regardless of position. That's my hunch at least.
The downside of all this winning is what it will mean in the upcoming draft. I don't think Warmack falls far enough for us to take.
I hope I'm wrong. But I fear I'm not.
Just my two cents....

The second choice would be John Jenkins, a 355 pound NT who plays on one of the better Ds in the nation. Not very athletic but commands double teams and is a disruptive force.

1.Okafor
2.Barrett Jones
3.Chance Warmack (I think if we finish with a 25th or lower draft pick we wont have a chance)
4.Werner
5.Jake Matthews
3rd round possibilities are (in my opinion)
1.Brandon Jenkins
2.Devin Taylor
3.Ricky Wagner
4.Alex Hurst

warmack is a guard...it's very possible that he will be available, their positional value just isn't that high. then again i can't see the cowboys passing on him. and don't fret about draft position...looking at past drafts it's hilarious when you see who went where

is anybody respectable giving barret jones a first round grade? and at this point werner is easily a top 10 pick

There is no chance of him going in the top 10 in my opinion way to much other talent ahead of him, no way does 3-4 pass rushers go in the top 10is anybody respectable giving barret jones a first round grade? and at this point werner is easily a top 10 pick

no chance? national football post, kiper, mcshay all have him ranked inside the top 10. plus, he is more than capable of playing DE in a 43. and using your logic mingo, jarvis jones won't go in the top 10. although the way mingo is playing he might not....

I went over to CBS Sports.com.... and their draft guy, Rob Rang (?) is giving Barrett Jones a 1st round grade for now.
But the three people I follow closest, Kiper & McShay at ESPN and Nolan Nowrocki at Pro Football Weekly do not. By the way, those three don't often agree with each other.... and they do in this case.... So, take it for what it's worth...
Or not.

We aren't saying that he shouldn't be a first rounder, we're saying that no one is projecting him as one.Barret Jones is snd could very well be a late first rounder erarly second rounder. This guy is not only very smart up front but he id dominamt and hr hit over 98 percent of hiis blocks last year. That combo blocks and all. I have heard and read a number of times how Alabama loves to run behind him brcause he opens holes. And as far as pass blocking hes play one on one agsinst LSU pass rushers with no help and has done outstanding. Thizs guy is right there with Warmack plus he can play anywhere and play well. This guy is alot better than some of you think.

I think that Cooper is on DeCastro's level, which is still really good. Warmack is just above them IMO.if people are wanting a guard, after warmack the #2 is johnathon cooper of UNC and many think he isn't far behind.

Jones will and probably another pass rusher but 3-4 in the top ten considering all the other talent that will be available and team needs then 3-4 pass rushers is just to be many to go in the top 10no chance? national football post, kiper, mcshay all have him ranked inside the top 10. plus, he is more than capable of playing DE in a 43. and using your logic mingo, jarvis jones won't go in the top 10. although the way mingo is playing he might not....

Being from Oregon and a huge fan of the Ducks, I had watched more film on him than most scouts so I had an unfair advantage.

offensively were fine we need to get better on the defensive side. i really like vaccarro but jordan would be the pick. we need another pass rusher opposite mathis and i think jordan would thrive in this hybrid defense.
Apparently you have not seen our offensive line attempt to block.

Let's assume that we make the playoffs and are picking from 21 to 32. Who do we select?
1. Chance Warmack
2. Kenny Vaccaro
3. Dion Jordan
4. Justin Hunter
5. Shawn Williams
6. Jesse Williams
7. Jonathan Banks
I'd be okay we any of these guys, but I think I'd rank them like this.
1.Warmack
2.Hunter
3.Jordan
The other guys just don't feel like a sure thing 1st round pick. However I do like Williams. People are too high on Elam IMO, he's a hard hitter and a decent tackler and cover man, but that is his problem... he's decent. I like Williams, Vacarro, and Rambo as better safeties.

Seeing that Woods could slip into the 20s I really would not be too supprised if we took him in the first. I mean our mangement is gonna take the player that more talented over a player who may just fill a need. Griegson has stated that. I thinks Woods overall if he were to slide that far could be the way we go. He is a very talented Widout with alot of potential and could have a big impact. I just think wed pick him if hes available over maybe a Warmack, Jones, Richardson or even a Saftey. Personally its not the direction I would want us to go but If you think about what our managments philosophy is this would not be a supprise. Something to watch for. Plus with how we are on pace to win7 to9 games this year and probably even more next year we may not get that chance to get a guy with real number 1 potential for a while.
you don't need a high first to get a number one receiver. would much rather the other receiver on usc

Maquese (sp?) Lee doesn't come out until the 2014 draft at the earliest. This is only his 2nd year.
I suspect he will come out after next season though.... too good not to....

He is a clone of Nnamdi Asomugha and would be a nasty, press corner. He would fit exactly what we want to do with man coverage, and his size would allow him to cover the bigger WRs in the league.

I know it doezt have to be a high first or really even a first to get a number one guy, but my main point in this is that we could very well take Woods if he fell there.
I have the same feeling. I know its not popular around here but while Hilton is talented, im not sure we have a true #1 caliber WR to replace Reggie with on the roster.
Id rather have Warmack but if the situation arises to get Woods i think it would be tempting for the Colts.
