There seems to be a few people on here that watch it. My grandfather watch some of the old stuff with Dick "The Bruiser" when I was a kid. I was hooked. I was all about "Rowdy" Roddy Piper when I got a little bit older. We had one of the older satellite dishes we had to turn manually but we got some of the NWA and UWF shows. I pretty much quit watching around 1994. The when WCW began with the nWo story line I was hooked again. I didn't get back into WWE until the whole "Attitude Era". Watched some ECW. I still watch WWE with my kids and nephew. Been to some WWE and WCW house shows, Wrestlemania VIII, And a couple of RAW's. Yeah i get that the story lines and outcomes are predetermined but I still enjoy it. Plus those guys and girls are tremendous atheletes.

I'm relatively new... I started watching wrestling around 2000...I was 10 at the time.

I go in phases. I'll watch every week for like 2 years...then not watch it at all for a couple years, until it randomly catches my eye again. Been to Raw twice, Smackdown once, and the "Extreme Rules" PPV.

My favorite wreslter is probably either John Cena (I know.......Don't judge me.) or Chris Jericho.

The cake is a lie!!!

I miss Gorilla Monsoon and Heenan doing the play by play...classic...

I grew up watching old school NWA wrestling, with Ric Flair, The Horsemen, The Russians, The Steiner Brothers, etc. We used to go to shows in Philly and Baltimore..Back then the AWA and NWA has some mixed shows, so I got to see Bockwinkle, Ray The Crippler Stevens, Baron Von Raschke, Verne Gagne, along with Dusty Rhodes etc ...Those were the days..

All time favorites

The Road Warriors..(not the stupid LOD in the WWE) (coming out to Ozzie's Iron Man)
The Undertaker (GOAT)
Superstar Billy Graham
Mil Mascaras
Ric Flair before he came to the WWE and TNA
George "The Animal" Steele
The Horsemen Arn, Ole, Tully, and Flair
Tanaka and Fuji
The Wild Samoans (Afa and Sika)
Degeneration X..when it was just HHH, Shawn Michaels, and Chyna..(that entrance theme was awesome)

For mic work:

Ric Flair
(Cause I'm a Wheelin Dealin..WHOOO Limousine Ridin'..Lear Jet Flyin'..Son of a Gun!...WOOOO)
The Rock (IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK JABRONI)
Stone Cold (WHAT?)
Classy Freddie Blassie (Pencil-necked geeks)
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (GOAT)

I still watch it now, but its nowhere near as good as back in the 70's - 90's

100GFB..My dad always said that Mr Moto was one of the greatest..never got to see him though, but he did live...

Gavin..I can't wait to see the Undertaker as well...I know exactly what you mean...

Proud to be a Colts fan this, and every year. Thank you for the great season!

I was followed USWA but had 2 sets of wrestling crazed roommates during college.

With one set We watched several scrambled PPV(Didn't have the cash to order them) while in the other my roommates put on their own wrestling shows.

Lets see. I work for WWE when it came to Virginia, I help assemble the Smackdown! set, and I ran mic cables etc... I also got to eat in the same room as the wrestlers, and I have a funny story of accidentally insulting Edge. I've been to 1 Wrestlemania, several Raws and Smackdowns, I've been to TNA Impact live once, my first live event was a WCW house show in Roanoke, VA where I saw Sting fight Ric Flair for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. I still go to live events when I get the chance, I watch Raw every Monday, and I have PPV parties a few times a year. I've loved it since I was 2, and don't see that changing. Heck I wanted to be a wrestler until I was 20!

Andrew Luck is the hero Indianapolis deserves, and the one it needs right now.

Four of the biggest Lunatics...(besides the GOAT George the animal Steele)
Bruiser Brody, Stan "The Lariat" Hansen...(who also broke Sammarstinko's neck), Abdullah the Butcher and Kamala, the Ugandan Warrior...

Chief Jay Strongbow and Billy White Wolf, Spiros Arion, Big Bully Busick, Magnificent Muraco, Fritz Von Erich and his sons, Bam Bam Bigelow, King Kong Bundy..who..if you look at the face pics side by side with the Big Show could be brothers...

And who could forget the former New York Jet..Wahoo McDaniel

I used to love watching the (I'm saying this to be politically correct) little people wrestle... Sky Low Low, Little Tokyo, to name a few...They used to torment the ref's so bad...it was hilarious, but honestly, they could really wrestle too...

wow this is really bringing back memories...thanks for making this thread

When I was younger I always thought of the WWF as more of an entertainment thing and NWA, UWF, AWA, and WCCW as... I don't want to say "hardcore", but maybe more realistic wrastlin'. Kind of how I felt about WWF and WCW in the mid to late 90's.

Sadly, I'm the first one in my family (that I know of) who likes Wrestling...So, I don't know very many of these older people you guys are bringing up. I've HEARD of a lot of them, but for the most part, I haven't seen them.

What are some of your favorite matches? I feel like I shouldn't even have input here, since all of mine will be in the last couple of years. Like CM Punk vs John Cena at Money in the Bank where CM punk "walked out" on the WWE....the crowd in Chicago was NUTS!!!

How do some of you (if you still watch it) feel about Ryback? He seems to be over with the crowds, but I just don't see it myself.

The cake is a lie!!!

Feed Me More! Not sure how I feel about Ryback. I kind of flip flop on him. I just hope they don't burn him out fast like WCW did with the Goldberg angle (if Ryback somehow wins the title).
I'm more of a Cena fan but my oldest is a Punk fan. My 5 years old like Brodus Clay. lol. But yeah, that match in Chicago is a modern classic.

Some of you guys should check out the "Virgil Mailbag" on deadspin. Pretty good stuff. It's a weekly article where people write in there stories about wrestlers they have met. Some are heartfelt, some are funny, some are mean. It's a must read for me. I say check it out if your into it.
Well, technically, the keyboard did it, soooo.........

Classic Matches for me are Bret Hart vs The British Bulldog, Sgt Slaughter vs Hulk Hogan, Big Van Vader vs Sting. Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior. Rick Flair vs Sting, Ricky The Dragon Steam Boat vs Randy Savage. Hogan turning Heel was an all time classic move. As well as Jake The Snake Roberts snake biting Randy Savage or Ultimate Warrior being betrayed by Jake the Snake or Shawn Micheals betrayal of Marty Janetty (which if memory serves me right happened in 1991) also the same year of the Undertakers debut but before he was the Undertaker he was Mad Mark in a tag team

I think Ryback is very raw & not ready for the main event. He's Goldberg without the natural ability. I think at the Cell PPV you are going to see a run in by Brock Lesnar/ and or Mark Henry setting up Survivor Series with Team Heyman vs. Team McMahon.

As for favorite matches....Edge vs. Mick Foley Wrestlemania 22, TLC 1 at SummerSlam 2000, Shelton Benjamin vs. Shawn Michaels on Raw, Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin Wrestlemania 13, Bret Hart vs Owen Hart Wrestlemania 10, Triple H vs Undertaker Wrestlemania 27, Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker Wrestlemania 24, Masato Tanaka vs. Mike Awesome ECW O.N.S., Sting vs. Hulk Hogan Starrcade 97, Macho Man vs. Ricky Steamboat Wrestlemania 3, and the Punk vs Cena match at M.I.T.B.

My all time favorite is Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 12.

Andrew Luck is the hero Indianapolis deserves, and the one it needs right now.

I was huge into wrestling when I was a kid and watching guys like Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, and Ultimate Warrior. Then as I got older I just grew out of it and got back into it when the NWO and DX hit the WCW and WWF. Then of course I kept watching with The Rock and he was by far my favorite wrestler. That whole era was probably wrestling at its finest. A lot of the stories were pretty good and the wrestling was top notch.

Now I am just left thinking why in the world did I like this stuff. I have caught a few minutes whenever I find out the rock will make an appearance, but overall I am just wondering why in the world I ever watched it. Then I saw AJ come out and I realized why I watched it some. haha.

Favorite match/incidents - 1. Edge and Christian vs Hardy Boys (Think it was the Hardy Boys Ladder match). After the match both teams said that they gave the fans a match! 2. During an Austin match, Undertakers hand/arm breaks through the ring floor and grabs Austin and pulls him under the ring. The theme/point the WWE was pushing was grave sites and burying. 3. Austin driving the beer truck into the arena/ring area. 4. Cage match between Mankind vs Undertaker where Mankind decides to fall the top cage - unscripted! Undertaker stood top of the cage with that holy s*** look. Think Mankind also landed on nails or Titans! 5. HHH tears his quads but keeps wrestling!

I was a fan during the days of the rockers (shawn michaels and marty jenety) the bushwhackers, hacksaw jim duggan, loved the Ultimate Warrior. Brutus the barber beefcake, jake the snake and undertaker.

When I was working for the radio station in seattle I saw a raw match live where Brock Lesnar F5 the samoan dude. That impressed the heck out of me. Haven't watched it much as I have gotten older but really enjoyed the rock and stone cold when he kept punking the owner of wwf with his "WHAT?" That always had me in stitches. WHAT?
