    • Luck was drafted to a team that went 2-14 and the next three seasons they are in the playoffs. The Lions have yet to win a playoff game with Stafford.   You are ignoring the lions having a top 3 defense that year, and Stafford had one of the greatest receivers of his generation for the better part of his career. The coordinator isn't that relevant, Andrew isn't playing under Mike Martz, one year of Arians is the extent of his coordinating excellence. Throw in a terrible team construction and I think it's fair to say Andrew has had more on his shoulders.   I agree Andrew has an edge, I just don't think they're that close overall.
    •   Well....    while I get your point in broad terms....   when it comes to the three QB's you listed,  I don't think you have much of an argument....   Joe Flacco won a Super Bowl and no one in the NFL thinks Baltimore is a bad team.   Carson Palmer is a QB you can win 10 games a year with and Arizona is a well run franchise under their current front office.   And Sam Bradford is another guy who is highly thought of and his biggest problem has been injuries,  less so the quality of his play.      And Minnesota is another well run franchise.   The problem is there are 32 teams and there are not 32 quality NFL quarterbacks.   That gives the most talented guys the most leverage.     You're better off over-paying them then not having a good QB on your roster.   If you can point to players who are not quarterbacks,  then I think you'll have a stronger argument......
    • My lord that Caps Jackets game today was unreal. The Caps outshot CBJ like 47 to 29 and barely won in the shootout. Bob stood on his head again.   This is precisely why Washington needs that first seed. I do NOT want to play Pittsburgh or Columbus in the first round. Call it the wussy way out, but how can you expect the winner of the 2v3 match up in the metro to beat the division champion (who probably wins their series in 4 or 5 games), after going at it in a 7 game war the previous round?   Meanwhile New York is sitting pretty in that WC1 spot right now .
    • Yeah Faulk had 1 carry in the Playoffs and then sat out the rest of the Playoffs. I still don't have a clue why? He had turf toe for a while but complained about other injuries too. Then when he went to the Rams he was like the best ever in 1999 and 2000. That has just always bothered me.
