Game against the Chiefs really was great. But really the real test begins with the Patriots. As the Colts need to get over that hump. As hopefully that they will! Colts just need to take one step at a time. And not rush it. As they hopefully will come away with a win against the Patriots! Taking one huge step on their way to NY and SB 48!
It seams todays Colts are living up to their nick name as from the Colts team of the past .... What is it gonna take for this group to play football in the first 30 min ? Just when i though they fixed themselves in last 3 reg games , they give up 31 points at home before the half ! What is the freaking issue ? ....yea , they won and im happy about it , but what's gonna take to fix whats been going on the whole season ?
Colts sign Dion Branch and put Fili Moala and Greg Toler on IR.....Let me say, Toler could be let go next year due to his career being injury prone and I think he blew the coverage on the Donnie Avery play.....He really has some talent but can't stay on the field and that is a frequent problem of Colts lately....Moala is a first rounder that never amounted to much and he is what he is (played all 16 games this year though)....He will be a Colt next year just for continuity and a cheap price tag.
Colts fans still complaining about the T-Rich trade need to get over it, we just had one of the greatest comebacks ever!!!!!! Donald Brown fumbled too!!!!! Oh and he was a 1st rounder also and nearly 27 yrs old who also had a rough start and NEVER had to switch teams mid season.....T-Rich has sputtered running the ball but another year and he will improve he is only 23 yrs old.....He is quite productive this year from a yards from scrimmage stand point though.....Here is a few players he has m
Wt a great comeback last game. But we are facing patriots next week which will be tough for both offensively and defensively. I think that the Patriots are a lot harder to beat than the Broncos. After a monster game from TY Hilton, I m sure that Bill Belichick is going to shut down him in the slot. To stop a high power passing offense, Bill Belichick usually uses IN and OUT zone coverage to double up the slot and back off the safeties. He would kindly give up the deep ball outside and the runnin
Although I still have an ear-to-ear smile from last night, a 28-point comeback shouldn't be necessary. We continue to rely on luck and Luck to pull us out of 2-3 quarters of dismal football. All year! Everyone praises a comeback, but never asks the question why comebacks are even necessary. I'm not sold on Pagano yet - he only had one year of DC experience before HC. GREAT guy - but may be over his head. If Chuck's primary talent is a passionate motivator, he fails for almost 3 quarters co
Stats: what are they worth? 1 team had 150 yds rushing-37 minutes time of pocession-1 turnover...the other team had 100 yds rushing-22 minutes-4 turnovers...who won? I just heard on the Eagles/Saints game that the team with the most turnovers is 16-195, in the playoffs....never say never...in the NFL,but this wasn't the seasoned, experienced Manning-Harrison-Wayne-Clark Colts, this was the Luck-Hilton-Whalen-Fleener non-seasoned and non experienced Colts. We all saw the same thing, a team that w
All Colt fans are wondering right now what will happen on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium. As nervous as we all might be about some aspects of this game, especially the final score, I have no fear about the performance we will see from Andrew Luck tomorrow, I know he'll give superb effort, make some plays and display his ample talent. The game against the Chiefs will allow Andrew another step in his growth and reward all our players for their hard work this year. I know our Colts will pl
Yeah, we had a Jags fan and his old lady sitting right beside us in section 450. He had driven from Cincy but was from Jacksonville. Mom is a very passionate fan, and when she turned around asking all of the Colts fans around us if we all should "kick his bleep" I had to laugh. Mom, you're 63 but I sure love the intensity though. I had to remind her etiquette when she was pointing to a fan dancing for like 2 hours straight and almost hit the guy in the face... oops. It was a great time. Although
Dear, Colts great games to start off the season. And get ready to beat the chiefs and if you can beat them once you can beat them twice. So good luck to you guys. And your coach. Sincerly,Sam Buchanan
I don't know who flipped the switch, but this team is really clicking on almost all cylinders The offense has really been effective and balanced ever since they started running the hurry up...Luck has looked very sharp and is spreading the ball around to his many options and everybody has stepped up and contributed, Hilton has re-emerged and Whalen has been making key plays, Fleener has been so close to making big plays, but hasn't made (some of) them. The running game wasn't real sharp today, bu
A win in KC and on the road. Plus in the playoffs! Which is even better. As the team hopefully will continue to thrive on the way to NY in February. Have a safe and a great Christmas!
Whalen done a good job both offense and Special teams DhB stepping it up in special teams the moving of the O-line Young recievers stepping in and helping Leaving the players on defense that need to be.finally!! This is working like the begining of the season no need to change it. Well Pep we need to get the deep ball thrown with more PA to go in that power I formation.
This was a team that for the past 6 weeks, could not play football...could not throw the ball, run the ball, stop the run or stop the pass and was not all that solid on special teams, could not make third downs, score touchdowns, get takeaways, pressure the QB, really could not do much of anything, I felt their play over that span would rank them as probably the worst team in the NFL (or very close)......fast forward: the past 2 weeks, they have looked very solid, not spectacular.... but flashy
Well, this has nothing to do with football, although I certainly enjoyed the game and other actions at Lucas stadium against the Texans. What I have chosen to comment on was the singing of the National Anthem by Julia Goodwin. This was one of the very, very, very RARE occasions that the anthem has not been trashed at a sporting event. I think it should be in a singers contract to sing the anthem as it is written, and leave out the hip hop and specialized additions that so many create to muddl
Congrats to Peyton Manning as the SI Man of the Year for 2013! Nobody deserves it better than he does. After all he had been through in 2011. As he has really done well and thrived.Even though we are very, very glad that we have Andrew Luck. Still the name Manning will, never, ever be forgotten. Both on and off the field. As nobody deserves this honor more than #18! Way to go Peyton!
Congrats to bcraig1504 on winning the Jaguars @ Colts tickets. For a list of all of this seasons winners see: http://forums.colts.com/page/Contests/2013HomeTickets/home_ticket_giveaway.html
It's been a long time since this team has shown that kind of production, a very good overall complete team win. Offense: the game was set up early by Brown's running (then he missed the rest of the game ) Richardson has looked a lot better the past few weeks and had a very good game today. The recievers are taking turns stepping up, last week Rogers and Brazill, today it was Whalen, Hilton was again a factor after a month of being a non factor, along with Fleener and the backs, give Luck more th
I don't know about everyone else, but I think that TY, DaRick, Fleener and Whalen provide Luck with more weapons than any other line-up we have thrown out there.....(without Wayne). I would like to see them come out firing, I was also impressed with how they involved T-Rich in the passing game in which he did great at. The running game will come easier I think once defenses are of balance, we have been running better in the second half of most games because of the play calling. I hope the coa
In spite of the recent events, we are the AFC south champs, which is not the only goal everybody had, but it certainly isn't a bad thing One thing this has brought to light, at least to me, is what I have said (many times) the 2-14 colts, were not a bad football team, we all have seen what injuries can do to a team and when a "key" player is lost (Reggie) it can have a major effect on the entire team and process, so when a player (Manning ) is lost for the year and the team struggles, that doesn
DaRick seems like a big target and I hope he can continue to grow with Luck......Once again we started the game looking like a high school football team, Pep is a terrible OC..... to be a offensive coordinator he must actually coordinate some offense. T-rich looked a little better and I did like the screen passes at the END of the game.....Do we ever run a draw play or a toss?????? It seems like we run up the middle every time and it would be nice to see a stretch run of somesort, I was really
It's LeBron being LeBron. I have never been a fan of his for many reasons. He looks like a decent family man and takes great care of his kids + has never been in trouble with the law so I respect him for that - he is also a Great Basketball player, best today. Having said that his ego is outrageous, he left Cleveland in his prime because he couldn't win a Championship. Peyton Manning for example never thought about leaving Indy because he couldn't win for years against the Pats and Steelers in
Yes, that is a fair point some individuals just like to stir the pot & cause controversy & mayhem simply because their life has not turned out as well as they wish it had. Like it's somebody's else's fault that they don't make enough money or have a pretty girlfriend or any girlfriend for that matter.
Look, I'm not trying to minimize any fatality white, black, male, or female & I know that being a police officer is not an easy job. I get that. I just wanna get to an atmo
I am getting ready to get off work so I will have to respond to your Post tomorrow in more detail but all great points. Racism will probably never go away unfortunately as there are just people in this world that are ignorant and violent. I am not sure how anyone can solve some of the violence talking place. It just seems to get worse and worse with groups of people getting shot in night clubs, theaters, etc. for no reason. White cops aren't doing themselves any favors either by shooting unarmed
Thank you CBE for your response to my blog entry. I know how busy peoples daily lives are so I am grateful for feedback & different points of view on this subject matter.
Max Kellerman on ESPN 'First Take' has made the intriguing argument that in America anyway the Natl. Anthem standing up during it is a mandatory gesture of compliance as opposed to a voluntary one where dissent is frowned upon & even called out publicly if you refuse to stand up while the Star Spangled Bann
Here's my short take on Colin and what is going on: I have no problem with people protesting about something they believe in or serious matters like racism, that is everyone's right to do so. Where I have the problem is dissing the American flag. It doesn't accomplish anything and it really gets many people to dislike you and question why you are doing that. To me it's dissing the Military and the USA when you don't acknowledge the flag. All you are doing is drawing negative attention to yoursel
I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
YSGC,
Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.
Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:
"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear" Awesome!
When are people going to realize that the offensive line talent in last year's draft, outside of La'ell Collins, just wasn't that good? Sure we could've used a couple of picks on some mediocre o-line talent, and people would be right here, with their 20/20 hindsight, saying that they were terrible picks, and that Grigson should be fired.
Instead, we took a WR. People didn't like the pick, as the Colts allegedly were already "stacked at WR." Well, fast forward to this year: Johnson is
