I have been calling for the firing of Grigson and Pagano for two years

If the Colts want to have any shot of ever winning a super bowl they need to fire Pagano and Grigson. The Colts for the last three years have almost exclusively relied on Luck to win games by making big plays down field. My case for firing Grigson is described below. The ciolts for the last three years have had no running game, a bad offensive line, an average receiving core, a defensive line that brings no pressure and a very mediocre to poor defensive secondary. Grigson traded away a first round pick for Trent Richardson who is now out of the game. Grigson has failed to put together a good offensive line to protect Luck or run the ball. Grignson has ignored the Bellechick rule by bringing in payers like Gore and Johnson who are much closer to the end of their career than the beginning. Grigson has an undersized and overpaid receiver in Ty Hilton on the payroll.Grigson does not know how to build through the draft. The Colts need to hire someone in the front toffice from Green Bay, the Seahawks, the Panthers, or the Bengals. They need to find a gm who knows how to pick third and fifth round gems. The recipe for winning when you have a good quarterback is to not make him carry the team on his back every game. A GM needs to build a defense that can win games on their own and needs to create a running game that takes the pressure off the quarterback by building a great offensive line. The reason the Colts are losing this year is because they are asking Luck to do too much. Luck is pressing and trying to do too much, It is very easy to beat the Colts because all you have to do is stop big pass plays down field. Now the reason Pagano has to be fired is because he has consistently failed to prepare his team. Since Pagano has been the coach the Colts have routinely come out flat and they have routinely fallen behind by big numbers. Then they ask Luck to bail them out by launching these huge comebacks. Pagano is not a great coach. Luck has made Pagano look like a better coach than he really is. I dont know who the Colts should hire right now but they might need a smart tough coach. The problem is that there is not a great pool of available great coaches out there. Harbaugh went to Michigan. Bowles went to the Jets. They need to bring in a smart tough coach if they want to compete for Super Bowls. So in closing get rid of Ryan Grigson and Pagano. If the Colts dont do that Luck should try to leave the Colts because the Colts are a sinking ship as currently configured. Maybe a young Josh Mcdaniels along with a very good defensive coordinator might do the trick. Maybe they should also ask Bill Polian for his advice on hiring.

I think firing Pagano or Grigson is PREMATURE. If you recall not far back the Giant fans were calling for the firing of Coughlin and Manning. This was in the biggest market and that is pressure. All the team did was win the Super Bowl, playing lights out in the playoffs including knocking off the undefeated Patriots with Randy Moss.

I am not saying we will win the Super Bowl but this is a better team than previous years. They just need to get it together. Nothing worthwhile will come to you SUDDENLY... that is the law of life.

John 242, I couldn't disagree with you more...in fact there are some ridiculous statements in there (and your spelling or spellcheck ability lacks greatly).  "They need to find a gm who knows how to pick 3rd & 5th round gems."  Really?  Hilton was a 3rd round pick; so was Henry Anderson this year & David Parry a 5th round pick (but really, how many 5th round gems are there?)  What is the Bellechick (spelling) rule anyway.  So Bill never signed Corey Dillon or Rodney Harrison or Junior Seau?  Lastly 2 beauties in back to back sentences - Josh McDaniels?  He has already failed miserably as a head coach, you know, he's the one who not only picked Tim Tebow in the 1st round, but traded up to do so.  He's a coordinator, that's all.  And the icing on the cake...consult Bill Polian?  The guy who single handedly (well, with a little help from his nepotistic butt't GM, Chris Polian), sunk the franchise & forced Grigson to go the free agent route a lot more than I'm sure he wanted to.  Polian knew Peyton was having neck surgery but failed to get a back-up other then Curtis Painter until the season started than got 40 year old Kerry Collins off the scrap heap, who lasted about 2 weeks.  One last comment by me - we never, never want to follow the style or hire a disciple of Bill Belichick or anyone associated with the Patriots.  We are & hopefully always will be a class organization, you should be ashamed.  (I would have put this into an easy read/multiple paragraph format, but since you didn't, I thought I'd let you fight through mine like I did yours.)

It's Not Hard To Understand, It's Hard to Fix

Posted by Ehrman.Dutton.Cook.Barnes, 26 October 2015 · 143 views

In just three short years we went from one of the youngest teams, with some potential, to THE OLDEST TEAM IN THE NFL !!!! In the

last year alone, we went from a team that went one step further to a team that is in serious regression. Why? Because we replaced that group of players with a bunch of over the hill, cap-$ sucking, dinosaurs who have not improved on what we had last year. Add to that the fact that our last three number one draft choices were all wrong-headed for what this team needed. So it's not hard to understand why we are watching a team with such high expectations, (according to the Grigson/Pagano analysis) implode. How to fix it? Grigson, Pagano and his entire staff have to go. Otherwise, we all know what the definition of insanity is, keep doing what

you're doing hoping for a different result. I realize this is dramatic in scope, but

with the right people managing the team and the right GM bringing in the needed talent, maybe when Luck turns 30 we might field a competitive team around him while his best years are still out there.

OK Both Of The Above Posters Have Made It Quite Clear How They Feel About The COLTS...

Now I Emplore Y`All To Not Only Make The colts Seam Like They Cannot Win .You Both  Critsize But Please Say How Y `All

Would Fix these  Current Troubles That are existing now

Y`All Realize That The Players Are Playing For The Coach And That's Important.

It Just Gripes Me that People Want Change Without Giving Any Thought To How To Go About It

Consider a Change Might Be Worse Than The Present Situation

Cannot For The Life Of Me Figure Out How A Coaching Staff Who In The 1st 3 Yrs. of There Tenure

Went 11 & 5 And Now All Of A sudden Came Up Stupid And Are Not  Winning---- Give It Time.

I like to give credit when it's due and look at things from a non biased point of view, but I'm not sure deflated footballs or taping from a non approved location, when taping was allowed (That fact seems to escape everyone) lead to the success of the Patriots for the past 15 years, the Patriots are so far into everyones heads it now affecting the games and has been if you watch whats going on.   Agree we need to dump Grigson, he's a total * as well as Pagano, but with Luck as our foundation we just need to learn to build better and build where it's needed.  I don't understand last years draft and it's getting old..  We need a fresh GM and coach who does pull fake punts when the game is on the line when Luck would have been better off going for it on 4th down.. We probably would have won...

Unfortunately for Colts fans, the best thing for Andrew is for him to ask to be traded. I'm sure he could get with a team that would build an offense that would protect him. He has hall of fame talent, but he won't make it with this GM and coach.

If I had been calling for the firing of Grigson and Pagano for TWO YEARS,  I wouldn't be advertising that fact.

I'd be too embarrassed about it.

Goodness gracious.

In light of all this hoo-ha surrounding the team, the last two years haven't been the problem where it concerns Grigson & Pagano. OC problems have lead Andrew to receiving more hits than Google everyday. That's a problem. It's now gone. The tensions that encompass this team haven't helped as well.

Culmination of the play calling, Luck's hits & injuries, poor tackling, problems inside coaching, apprehensive demands, and front office/HC entanglement (if any) all have contributed to arrive where we now stand.

All of these things are fixable. Easily fixable. Whether it concerns any other personnel firings is anyone's guess at this point. But please, do not lump one aspect of media reports about the Owner, GM & HC as the sole existing problem that the Colts need to address to solve all it's worries.

A few weeks ago, it was made public that GM Grigson and Head Coach Coach Pagano got into a heated argument in the players' locker room after a tough loss during the Colts' losing streak.  You do NOT air your frustrations out in the locker room, right in front of everyone!  Save it for the privacy of one of your offices and if someone if going to be fired, then DO IT!!  The players can hear all the words and begin to wonder about what the hell is going on!  It is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL the way this arguing was done and the whole team was/is owed an apology if that has not already been done!
