blog-0031763001425670123.jpgI will always remember Reggie Wayne. He was one of the most explosive threats I have ever seen in my young 30 year life.. Though there have always been doubters, seeing his career in INDY coming to a close seems fateful. These guys are immortal in the eyes of their fans but we need to realize just how precious the players are. 3 1/2 years is the average for players in the NFL, Reggie wasn't settling for that. With all of the trouble floating around in the NFL, Reggie Wayne excelled on and off the field. You are a good man bro. I will always remember.. It's a sad day for me.

The only thing I can say is everyone should have seen this coming, look how Irsay and his lackeys did Harrison. Then Freeney and Manning, at least Manning got a press conference for the farewell. Two of my friends told me there is no loyalty in professional sports and all it is about is the money. Didn't use to be that way when I was young I thought. This time, however, they put a dagger in my heart by treating a Loyal player they way they have. I have 2 friends that stopped following football after the Manning incident, but I stood fast and told them that it was a mutual thing and just to get over it. They didn't, I just waited and hoped for the best. The way they have handled this with Reggie Wayne is the final straw and I have to agree with my friends now. There is no loyalty in football, only money and hype. Guess, it is my turn to leave now. I will miss my Sunday afternoons with my favorite team. And Mr. Wayne if you ever read this please know that some of us do appreciate you that much and felt like we were right beside you every step of the way in every game we watched. You were our heart. God bless you and keep you.

Ever since his first day on the field I've loved watching #87 play. He's the soul of the team and I really struggle with seeing him leave. I'm hoping that somehow the team's leadership finds a way to get him back for a single game so he can retire a Colt. They would not have been as dominant for the past decade+ as they were without him. He's a classy player, an awesome human being, and was never afraid to be real.

Reggie, you will ALWAYS be a Colt to me. Thanks for everything you did to make each game a pleasure to watch.

Thank you Reggie Wayne for 14 great seasons, staying around to help Andrew Luck and the new receivers, and for being a great role model in many other ways. I wish you the very best, and I hope someday you will return to Indianapolis to be the Colts' receivers coach!Thank you REG-GIE!
